Interesting. If I try to cap at 30 I get huge stuttering. No idea why. I usually have v-sync off as I have a g-sync monitor, but it goes weird if I try to cap it
Lod is definitely better and no pop in at ultra, server side tweaks and fixes? Check!
Unfortunately while flying from kcpq to ksan at low altitude with great visuals and lod, nice CTD to desktop after five-10 minutes in..
Still needs to be fixed on our end now with the executable
You’re right. Credit where credit is due… but I’ll reserve my real excitement after the next patch- if it actually does something positive.
Great! Glad to hear it!
I’ve been tweaking my settings for this sim for a few weeks now and I’ve finally found something that works for me.
I too have a G-Sync monitor that will go up to 165Hz (an Aurous F127Q, i think)
I have found that it runs much better for me if I turn G-Sync off on monitor, use Vsync and 30 fps settings in the game settings.
If I try using the nvidia ctrl panel to limit it to 30 it’s a massive stutter fest.
So try Vsync in game and 30 (or whatever you think your system can handle) and make sure Vsync and frame limiter in nvidia panel is set to off. Edit: Or maybe make sure vsync in nvidia panel is set to use application settings
Let me try that - I didn’t think to turn off g-sync
Just for grins, I downloaded the sim onto a medium-spec laptop yesterday. I’m pleasantly surprised at how well it runs. So I took it into the living room and plugged it into a 78” TV. Fun!

78" - can it run it at 4k?
It can. Frame rates aren’t fantastic, but plenty useable. The laptop got pretty warm, though.
OK, so that’s weird, but I get FPS at 13 or 14 when I turn g-sync off, v-sync on (in the sim) at lock at 30 FPS. Stutter city. If I limit to 60, it seems fine - back to my usual 45-50 in non built up areas. Not seeing any screen tearing.
Not a big deal for me. I’ll just go back to g-sync. Who knows
I can only imagine…

Correct. Feeding off each other’s placebo with no actual evidence is amusing, but unproductive.
did you see my edit to previous message. make sure vsync is set to application controlled in nvida panel?
Nope, exactly the same for me. Got all optimistic for nothing ![]()
Ah, no didn’t see that. Also, for future reference, enabling g-sync whilst running the sim doesn’t do good things. One shut down and restart later…
I think I’ll leave for now. No real need to limit to 30fps anyway
I’m having a hard time with the FPS.. Don’t know if I’m only imagining it, but it seems to be after the latest patch.. I get high 40’s 50’s in GA planes over New york.. But can’t seem to get higher than 25FPS in airliners.. RX 5700 XT 8GB, 16GB RAM, Ryzen 7 2700X.. Any ideas?
