Sim is suddenly performing superbly

It helped a lot with me. My graphics stutter is gone. I didn’t get any malware with it. And plus with all the complaints about people having FPS issues hey it’s a start!

Boston at between 2000 and 4000 feet, spent an hour flying around, couldn’t see your triangles in the screenshots you posted.

I’m wondering if it was because he was flying an airliner.
I would guess that flying at a much higher speed it has to be loading in more scenery ahead of time, maybe it just can’t keep up with the higher speed planes.
I’ll give the citation a go tomorrow though I’m not that well up on jets, it’ll probaly take me most of the day to get it off the ground

Flying the A320 produced the same results for me, crystal clear. Although it must be said, I downloaded 2GB of data in a very short period of time, sometimes download was hitting 97Mbps.

Try it on a server that gives you 100 + ping. The LOD was much worse for me when I tried San Diego when connected to the east coast USA server instead of my North Europe local sever.

I’ll give it a go, I connect to the the North Europe server normally.

Could this have anything to do with flying airliners vs slower planes?

Good Lord, I am not seeing anything near 97Mbs (and I am on fiber network!) What is going on w/ the sim?? Argh. Thanks for posting the pics

Also, just thinking out loud – I started my sim at KJFK and it graphics/LOD seemed normal… arriving into KBOS is when it got bad (as I was on descent). Does that have anything to do with it (loading destination vs arriving destination)?

Download a free game from the MS store. See if those are incredibly slow. If they are google how to fix it. I had the same issue. I never got around to fixing it cause I bought a new ssd and reinstalled windows. That fixed it.

I’m still seeing it… wonder what I need to change? I just load into runway 27 and look around and I see the issues

I’llt ry to fly around and then back to see if it resolves itself. I assume i have to leave the area so it can re-render again when I enter.

Try deleting the rolling cache to force a redownload

Looks pretty good

I am over 60, and the O N E thing is confusing.

You seem to be implying that there is only one way to use/enjoy the sim/game. I think one should realise that there are many people who have bought this software with specific, and different, wants. And a lot of us are hugely enjoying the product. So projecting your issues here is not really appropriate in this case.

I understand that there are people like yourself that are dissatisfied because your needs are not met. Please similarly accept that there are people like the OP and myself (and likely thousands others) that ARE enjoying it without expressing your unhappiness here. There are enough other threads where you can express those opinions.

I don’t see any change in performance at all, today Vs yesterday.

I also see no objective evidence in this thread that anything has changed.

What is wrong with 25fps?

As long as the frame rate stays above 20 and doesn’t stutter I find it to be a completely natural experience - this is not a shooter…

I get figures similar to yours and am pretty contented with them.

If they didn’t actually update the server hardware or software for better in game looking results today, then maybe server traffic was at a all time low therefore helping streaming perform top notch for people today such as myself.

And when traffic is bogging server down makes streaming in game detail look like junk.

It would be great if asobo told us up front honestly what the heck is going on with server side issues. Then also in game issues, what they broke, how they going to fix it or supplement it, and what’s going to change in the future for definitely not the current way of sharing info with us.

Logistics with communication up front and to the point with customer base would alleviate a lot of complaining and hopes and guesses for the future…
