Sim Skunk Works - FIAT Aeritalia G-91 Released

The CJ4 has rear mounted twin engines. What sort of prop wash would you expect even if they were turbo props ?

Asobo changed something else, is nothing in your end

There are more than one evidence, the main one is that you cannot modify/deny prop wash in any way.
I suggest to read this thread on FsDeveloper.com
Prop wash ruins the entire ground handling in MSFS | FSDeveloper

Thank you for the source.

I think the issue is not with Propwash, but the control authority being too powerful as a whole in MFS. Even if you chop the Throttle, you still get some pretty radical reactions from moving the Rudder, etc!

hello,
nope, even with authority toward zero the issue remains, is more linked with throttle than controls.
Furthermore it happens also at taxi speed where control authority has little or zero impact.
Easy to test: apply full throttle and full rudder and voilà the “ground loop” (provided you may keep wing level, which is very difficult, another prop wash clue)

cheers

How do I avoid losing hydraulic pressure everytime (almost)? Hard to test flight with flaps when they are not working. After take off I have hydraulic pressure, flaps are up, gear is up, no damage because I do it before over speed limit. And there are some switches on the right side of the front panel that I am supposed to turn on? I do that before take off. But still problems.

How do I remove the yellow tint on the front glass? Before latest G-91 patch I could just remove a file. That doesnt seem to work anymore, meaning - I can remove it of course but it is still yellow tinted. The file I remove is SSW_G_91_WINDSHIELD.PNG.DDS

Any other way to do it?

For the hydraulic failures, are you using a two or three position switch for the gear? The only time I’ve had that failure right after takeoff is if I left my three position switch for the gear in the UP position.

Hmmm, I use the gear up and down lever on my Honeycomb bravo throttle. I think it is pre set up with default settings. But thanks, will check it out!

I have the HYD system loss problem too. I use a two position landing gear lever/switch mapped for gear up and gear down commands based on which selection is made. No Center position.

Gear and flaps up well before accelerating through limiting speeds and every time, about 1 minute after take off, hyd pressure falls to zero and red lights come on. Maddening.

I should also mention two position landing gear lever is mapped using DirectX buttons, not through a keyboard emulator.

Its one of those things that i would understand better by seeing in action than by words. Unfortunately I dont have your addon to test it. If I ever get a freeware fighter I will do some testing.

Thanks!

I checked now, Gear down is set to Joystick button/direct x button 32 on the Honeycomb Bravo Throttle. And Gear Up is set to button 31. So no middle posistion. Only up or down. And of course, that lever/button remain in its up position after taking off or else it must be in down position.

IF that means it sends a constant “gear up command” to the system and that makes the aircraft lose hydraulic power after a while, then that’s a “serious” bug in MSFS20 or in the modelling of the G-21 Aircraft. Because it must be possible to use Gear up/down lever like that. The Honeycomb system is very popular after all.

I really really like flying in this aircraft, but when I lose hydraulic power after a few minutes every time now, then landings is very hard becuase I have no air breaks, no flaps, no break power when on the ground, and the landing gear does come down by using the emergency system - but. Nope, very hard to land because you need more speed, and it’s impossible to stop.

Hoping for a fix

Just tried a test flight for the first time since the Hotfix… It left me very sad.

I can definitely no longer take off… I was between 140-150 knots, trimmed up (in the red zone), flaps default (about 50%) and I can’t lift off. Nose wheel comes off, but not the mains, it wouldn’t get airborne no matter what. It was Runway 26 in TJSJ too, plenty of length, but no luck. Unfortunately right now I can’t fly it.

I DID adjust Fuel via the main AC selection menu - when I upped overall fuel to 100%, the auxiliary and other tanks remained at 50%, so I upped all of them to 100% too. Then I ran G91Setup and upped the fuel there. Could THAT be the issue? Gonna try to take off with default amount of fuel.

I don’t think any of that really matters. At the end of the day the way the sim handles hardware switches is if you leave it in a position it just constantly spams the sim with that command.

Did you try this from the post above?

I did that, and it seems to behave more normal now. It doesn’t leap off the ground like the F15, but it lifts off around 140-150, and the climb rate isn’t that big at first because low speed, so have to be patient.

But that is silly, doing that for all kinds of switches. I mean, a landing gear lever is either up or down. And if that means one is spamming the system with either constant up or constant gear commands— wow. Silly  That means I cannot use my honeycomnb bravo for a lot of things because there are a bunch of two way buttons in addition to the landing gear lever.

I’m in the same boat with my Warthog. Two position switches are useless. It’s been that way since the first alpha, and it also is a contributing factor in the 10 degree knob rotation bug, which apparently got pushed to another update.

I too have this hydraulic problem and also use the HC Bravo.

I edited the flight model cfg as Mario stated using Notepad++. Still rotating at around 175-180 KIAS. Tested it twice. Default fuel. No external stores

Hmmm, sorry for asking, but you have trimmed your aircraft well into the red area of the trim indicator? I rotate now at about 140-145 or so with that notepad++ edit done. It then barely lifts of the ground and it takes a little patience to get to a reasonable level above ground.
