Is that the Adobe Acrobat PDF?
Too fast. Depending on weight you should be somewhere 75 its or less.
Yes, that would be it. Updates will trigger an assistance reset. I have no idea how they managed to get one unrelated event to do that.
When you look at the release notes, and they don’t mention either of those things, it makes you wonder what else doesn’t get added to the notes.
So 1.0 ° rudder trim right seems to be the sweet spot for me on take-off. I expected it to be more but i guess it depends on so many other factors.
I watched a video of Missionary Bush pilot, and he is giving full right rudder trim.
I got my grubby little mitts on the Kodiak on Friday and could tell it was something special right away. I spent a good chunk of Saturday crafting up controls and buttons in SPAD.NEXT for my Streamdeck and Bravo TQ and got most of the essential stuff done! With the new SU7 hotfix in place (and thrust reverse now working) I am extremely happy with the fine work Simworks have done. I do love that from a Cockpit builder perspective this plane is a joy to program with many functions exposed by read wriite LVARs. (looks for the SWS
prefix in the vars lists) I found the plane works REALLY well so far with the WT G1000 NXi at least on the surface. Onne thing I would love to see Simworks do for those of use programming controls is to publish a full list of all customs Events and LVARS much like the SDK does. There are some listed in the documentation but the actual list I can see in SPAD is MUCH larger
I have not really flown flight plans or IFR approaches but can tell you it is an awesome beast on really short landings at min weights. I cannot begin to tell you how good the @MissionaryBushPilot Series on YoobToob has been to understanding how to best pilot the Kodiak Totally worth checking out and supporting his efforts
Bottom line is that if you enjoy bush flights and want a really capable aircraft that seems to be very faithfully modelled to the original, that is stable and compatible (at least with my limited configuration) then is is the plane to buy!!!
KUDO’s to the whole Simworks team!!! You have ALL indeed raised the bar on Aircaraft building and made programming controls a joy to do!
Phil
Been subbed to his channel for over a year now. Guy’s a legend. Papua New Guinea is no joke - some of those grass airstrips are terrifying. Epic flight channel.
I’m glad you guys are looking into this. I did my first full flight with it last night, and it was rough having the displays so bright while dark outside.
Also, thank you for the amazing landing lights! I think this is one of the only aircraft to have landing lights that are bright enough to see. They feel more realistic to me.
Now if I could just work out how to program the cabin lights…
Hi,
The only thing I do not like about the Kodiak is the very dim (LED) beacon light at daytime. Not visible at all. Wish I could make it brighter.
Finally someone confirmed the existence of specific LVARs. Can’t wait to get SPAD to work.
Curious as to whether or not people are using linear sensitivity as recommended by SimWorks? To me, it seems a bit too sensitive linear. I may add a bit of a curve.
Mugz absolutely nailed the landing lights!
hi
wie kann ich den Prop ausschalten und die mfd Co pilott
Which cfg i must change the Setup
Pls give me a Info
Many thx
Hi
Its possible you can give me your streamdeck Profil
I have a 15 Button streamdeck and search it for the kodiak
Many thx for your Support
Fly linear in most other aircrafts, but here it just doesn’t seem right. Have dialed in 50% curve.
Thrustmaster TPR (love them)
Yeah, I’ve also tried it at 70 knots. It still floats. In the few MSFS Kodiak videos I can find online it seems to me that they hardly flare. Maybe it just requires a different style of landing compared to a small GA aircraft which you basically hold off the runway until it gently stalls onto it…
Did anyone have downloading issues from SimworksStudio? I’ve been trying all day… it gets to 15 to 25% and then fails only to start over. Virus and firewall is turned off. There is nothing in their support about this.
I tried everything and can’t seem to get around this. When on glideslope ILS, when i turn off autopilot at the 500 ft call, the plane sinks and i have to jerk the elevator up or use trim like a maniac to hopefully (if i’m lucky) have a smooth remaining landing.
When i land it manually (No AP, No ILS), everything is heavenly.
Is it the timing of turning off AP that’s causing this? Am i supposed to turn off AP later (50-100 ft) ?
