Is there a way to eliminate the windshield cover that appears every time I start a flight with this plane? I’ll go on record as saying I hate this feature. It takes me 10-15 mins of clicking around the windscreen to get rid of it. Everything else works fine. It ruins what otherwise would be a great product.
I’m not disagreeing that it’s annoying but I really hope you’re exaggerating quite a bit here ![]()
Sorry, but that was too many years ago that I flew the PC-12 to remember exactly.
It was when Pilatus introduced the NG and everyone praised the much higher roll rate…which wasn’t the case, Pilatus had only changed the gearing on the yoke. ![]()
That was the bit of info that was missing. I should of thought of the older composite stuff but it’s just not used much these days. Looking at the thing, it looked like a Garmin or Mid Continent CDI. This older BK one does indeed have a composite input from the radio.
For others reading this discussion with any interest that means all the radial info is passed out of the Nav radio in what is called a composite signal and the CDI itself has to convert that to the deviation, to/from etc info based on its own OBS dial. This effectively adds an extra signal converter into the system so we have one Nav 2 radio but now 2 converters, the radio builtin one and the one in the CDI itself.
Thanks all for an interesting discussion and now we know how it works. What is planned for the update in this case represents this perfectly.
It’s a single click anywhere on the windshield on either side. I litteraly just click in the center and it removes it? If it’s taking you 10-15 minutes of clicking around to find the windshield hotspots maybe you got a bug to report, though it’s probably Pebkac.
Silly question perhaps, but when in cockpit view how to quickly open and close the passenger door? I cannot move the view behind the wall behind the pilot’s seat to access the clickspots with the mouse.
Have found an entry in the camera.cfg “Passenger exit” ¨(CAMERADEFINITION.4), but there is no key combo to jump to that view. Any ideas?

Hi,
One single click on the red flight control lock will remove the sunshades as well as the control lock.
If you move to the right into the aisle space you can move backwards. I did that then saved a custom view looking at the door.
dears
any idea how to dial in minimums and DH ?
think it worked once but i never was successful in putting the minimums again.
is this possible ?
thanks
I actually had that problem yesterday. No matter where I clicked the sunshade wouldn’t go away. After a restart it worked fine again.
True, but the removal of control locks is pretty far down the checklist. Usually you want to remove the sunshade right away.
Thank you. That did the trick.
This. And a single click on the base of the adjustable visors will completely stow them as well. Everything combined doesn’t even take 10 seconds, let alone “10-15 minutes”.
The art of exaggeration is all about leaving it at least somewhere in the ballpark, not two towns over. ![]()
Center pedestal under the engine gauges. There’s a “DH” knob. Press it first the roll to set.
RE: The second NAV2 OBS
I talked to some co-workers today, one of them worked as a tech at a Pilatus service center for quite some time. He didn’t have specific knowledge of that because he mostly worked on NGs but he and the other person I was talking with both have a lot of experience as techs and said that the signal from the NAV receiver would simply be sent through a splitter to both the EHSI and the mechanical and they would each basically decode and display the information on their own. So the correct way for that to be represented would be for them to each show course deviation (or bearing on the EHSI) based on their own course settings.
Makes sense when you consider that the NAV radio isn’t really sending sophisticated information to the instruments.
Since I updated to v1.0.5, I can’t move the throttle, flaps and the gear show in the up position. When I try to move the throttle with the mouse I can hear it moving, but not the throttle in the cockpit. I can move the flaps and hear it moving, but not showing in the cockpit. I even uninstalled then reinstalled, but no luck. I purchased it from iniBuilds. I’m hoping for another update.
We have one more scheduled for (what’s left of) this week addressing a few remaining issues.
The inoperative animations are weird, I would either attribute it to installation problems or some kind of MSFS hiccup. I don’t recall seeing it this side of the screen since 1.0.5 was done.
Have purchased the plane directly from your store.
Will I receive an automated e-mail if a new update becomes available?
Roland
Yes, there will be an e-mail. To be extra safe, we will also post here and on our media venues when it happens.
ive not experienced this, but i remember way back in the early days, this was common in a few aircraft, due to simconnect i think for memory, leaving some left over files in documents, but just generally id look at any third party software, that may interact with cfg’s etc, or empty comm folder (except pc12 obv) and try again
