I waited about 45 minutes for the first initial load to process. All well and good. However I quit the game and re-started it and…it’s going through the incredibly slow loading process AGAIN. Currently on 7% loading language.
This has to be a bug, right? It can’t do a 45 minute load every time you fire up the sim, right? Has this happened to anyone else

Yeah crazy long. What is the PC doing? Almost 0% Internet Traffic during that.
SSD is sleeping too.
Only CPU at 35% and GPU at 50% for the 700FPS loading screen.
Same here reloaded after I restarted the sim now stuck at 6 percent
Mine is doing the install all over again, by the looks of it.
mine is standard Steam edition
Yep, same issue here. Had a CTD trying to configure the Tobii eye tracker, now watching it sit at 7% again… Sigh. Day one fun!
I am also stuck at 6%.
I just checked and it’s at 10%.
The network seems to be communicating at 0.1 Mbps, so it does not seem to have stopped completely.
Well, then I’m wrong. Everyone will have to suffer.

Eh. More a hiccup than a disaster. This will be the worst day ever for the sim.
Apparently they did not estimate properly based on their open alpha load testing. 
Got that too. Saw that MSFS 2024 was installing more packages. Still waiting.
What an absolute embarrassment of a product launch, total disaster.
So, we just leave it running forever, we’ll be fine.
is it installing more packages though? because i dont see the folder size going up. where are you looking?
Stuck in the same place on second load. Using 10% CPU, .1Mbps network, 1.3MB/s disk, 5GB of RAM. I don’t get it, there doesn’t appear to be any bottleneck.
I think the bottleneck is with the server doing content authentication…
Mine got stuck on the loading screen, quit the game (xbox) then retried and let me in completed a setup now its stuck on customize identity. Just significant demand for a brand new game. Just long queues to access content on Microsoft servers especially with significantly smaller download size.
Pretty much looks like a “test” version. Don’t even have all the aircraft and can’t load any prior ones that list from 2020 version.
