In a beta test there aren’t a couple of hundred thousand players trying to load at the same time. It’s very hard to simulate. A lot of releases go like this.
Same here. This is silly, frankly. I’ve been defending the new sim, urged everyone to be patient with incompatible add-ons and buggy features, etc. But simply LOADING the sim should not be something anyone should have to defend.
My game loaded after 30 minutes completly. But inside the game I cant do anything. the content is not available, 4 planes, but cant start any flight, it just freezes.

No defense.
Just because a lot go like this, does not mean that the largest market cap company in the world cannot make the CDN network work better. They chose not to use the preload in the Xbox store (works perfectly) and chose to build a loader within a loader.
FS2020 had the same issues and has made the game unplayable for years as you never knew when you could just sit at your PC and play without having another 20GB update, and another slow CDN delivery of that 20GB.
Updates should happen when you are NOT with your PC, and they need to get their stuff together!
After a hour and 20 minutes first load completed. Then in the main menu i did some graphic changes, controls etc and also game recognized my msfs2020 ( which i do not have intalled and nor community folder is up) it prompted me to restart the game. I did and i am at 9% again.

Agreed. I’m sure the Community Managers would love to have something to tell us but no doubt they’re trying to coordinate with MS and Asobo to triage this mess so they can even know what to say.

It won’t load. It’s a bug, you need to restart it.

You say it’s a mess, and I agree, but the forum isn’t in meltdown mode so I am guessing most are okay.
Mouse doesn’t work while installing. Second load and it is reinstalling. Interface is convoluted and the peripheral input assignments are not intuitive.
Well at least Asobo is consistent. Looks like 2024 is another BETA release!!! If it’s anything like 2020 probably wont be flyable for months. It blows my mind when companies release software this buggy and bad. Imagine if Toyota released sold a car that didn’t work for months. Or LG sold a TV and it crashed every time you went to watch something. Would that be ok? I think not. Anyway best wishes to everyone. Hope they have a day one patch.

Yeah, this is really bad. MS and Asobo cannot hide behind any excuses on this one. They have all the $$ in the world, they are on Azure, and they build a game in 2024 that takes an hour to load?? And it’s really not working anyway even after it loads - most of the planes are missing, it’s slow, it crashes.
There better be an apology to the community cause this is garbage. They need to hire some better scaling engineers.

What happens after 100% loading. What’s next? Leave the PC on in the hope it doesn’t load a third time?!
Apparently he writes the long running time in a report. Maybe it will be evaluated?

Same, except I got a wonderful CTD when checking out the extremely unfriendly peripheral menu and now sitting here at 15% load screen. This is a mess. And sad to say, not surprised in the least.

The game finnally loads, but I only had 4 airplanes, and flights freeze at start. So do not expect a wonder after 100%.
