[SOLVED (by awesome community manager)] Upgrading to Premium Deluxe via in-game marketplace

I’m hoping as well. This has been a rather frustrating experience to date with one let-down after another. So I REALLY appreciate what you did. Based on the experience so far, I’m not terribly hopeful.

I really want the steam gauge C172, SR22, Baron and Longitude. I also refuse to have to purchase this package once again since I already paid for it.

I do not. I see zero references to anything MSFS in my account. That’s why the MS support wouldn’t touch this.

Interesting, that to me determines that steam has screwed up somewhere along the convoluted payment chain.

I personally use the MS store, but as far as I know, Xbox games on steam only use it as a sort of wrapper, with the updates and in game purchases usually go through Xbox Live. I might need to conduct some tests to be sure though.

I don’t believe you’re correct with it being a wrapper to the MS store.

I’ve made 3 other marketplace purchases prior without issue as I listed above. Those purchases went through my Steam Wallet, and I claimed the items in the marketplace without issue. None of those purchases are listed in my MS account.

Also, MSFS initially started the download after buying, then had a CTD. So they DID cash them in and it was about to install. Upon reloading after the crash, I got that error message I posted up in the OP saying failed upgrade. And I’ve seen zero signs of anything unusual since. Just like if the transaction never happened.

Have you created a ticket on Zendesk under marketplace?

The question about “where I can see my buying” I have too.
I’am also a Steam-User and no where in the MS account I can find that I bought e.g. the Mooney.

I have. I’m hoping I get a reply, but considering how mine and other users’ experience with Zendesk has gone to date, I’m not overly hopeful. Especially since it directs me to an article that states Asobo doesn’t handle requests for stuff bought through Steam, MS or Marketplace.

Hi @Crunchmeister71! Could you DM me your gamertag as well as Zendesk ticket #? Would be happy to look into this for you.

you can see in your MS accout, that you bought an airplane x ? .. which website is it ?

I just aks me,.. If I someday have to reinstall MSFS on a new PC ( use same MS account of course ) , how can I “prove” that I have licence x ( and how does MS know what I have ).

Update: ah.. again I not checked the “reply” ..

I can see NO REFERENCES in my MS account of anything to do with any of my MSFS marketplace purchases.

thanks for Info  … so,.. I’am not alone :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Is this displayed on the bank statement? if so, send it to @Jummivana no?

Paid via PayPal to Steam. There’s no bank record. But I do have my transaction record from Steam showing I did pay.

It would appear that wheels are in motion in the background now. @Jummivana is helping me out in DMs. It appears that the virtual currency (MS FS Credits) is indeed in my account on Asobo’s end, so not a Steam issue.

I’m surprised that this isn’t something that customers have visibility on though. It would be nice to see what our account status is…

On top of all that, you are a good addition to the community!

It will get sorted out! You will be flying the Shock Ultra like a helicopter before you know it!

Is there a specific reason you didn’t buy the upgrade on the steam platform? You’re now mixing a steam purchase with a Windows Store / Marketplace update.

I have done this already.. it is possible

Beside the fun:
The issue spoken here in thread and that I already tried and was not able to find anything about my licenses,.. that I find in each FAQ sentences like ‘we are not responsible’ , ect… let me realy thinking about future buyings..

He bought usable credit on the marketplace. This should not impact its usage, whether on Steam or the Microsoft Store.
He made his previous purchases in the same way, with no problem.

Am I wrong somewhere?

You can only buy bundles on Steam. If you buy the Standard edition and want to add the Premium Deluxe content later, there is no ‘DLC’ option on Steam. You have to buy the Premium Deluxe upgrade in the in game Marketplace.

Same for all aircraft and scenery addons. They don’t show up in Steam, only on the in game Marketplace.

I haven’t bought from the Marketplace yet and I’m frankly watching this thread to decide if I ever will. Customers should not get a runaround like this on a sim that has supposedly sold a million copies.

Because I had MS Flight Sim Credits in my account already, meaning the Premium Deluxe version was listed in the Marketplace as only $109 CDN vs $159 on Steam.
