Some Liveries break the logbook

This may be a coincidence but I have noticed that some (not all) liveries break the logbook. I have experienced this many times and the only way the logbook starts working again for me is to remove all liveries including the offending livery from the community folder and delete all the livery files in the SimObjects folder in the main directory.

I have had occasions that even this doesn’t fix the logbook. but randomly it is fixed when I add an entirely new livery to an empty community folder. The relation between liveries and the logbook is above my pay grade but if there is someone out there with the time and technical know-how that could investigate this it would be great. It’d be nice to have nice liveries and a logbook that is not temperamental.
Thank you.

Ok nice to know I’m not only one thought it was my imagination, also noticed MSFS 2020 seems to crash more often if you have 3rd party liveries when switching to outside view. I only usually stick with one Livery version to stop conflict from different packs and only load the livery for plane I’m flying. Because I’m pretty new to Flight sims I’m concentrating on only TBM930, so use that 90% of time flying.
So i’ve installed all glass cockpit mods, TBM improvement mods and thought maybe these, but in numerous tests, crash happens/ log issues more often if I don’t have the generic livery, as boring as they are.
So for the moment only using boring default liveries, just completed a 8 hour realtime flight [ use in flight refuel… i know cheating but wanted to fully test].
Yes all my generic/ multiplayer are all on use generic too…sigh… I really don’t see how this should be a issue in the first place, its just different colours no Branding cause I’m flying GA 99% of time…

Recent patch may have broken the logbook for some people but I’ve had this issue since launch.

Logbook is a joke!!! No matter what you do or how you do it, I get ZERO landings, virtually NEVER get the landing airport correct. Fly for an hour and it logs 12 minutes. Never anywhere near the correct flying time. There is nothing that works in this logbook, and most of all, they don’t seem to even care about fixing it. Done with it…SimToolKitPro logbook works and it’s free. Painful to get used to but at least it works. But there is no accurate way to keep actual track of any flying time.

My logbook stopped logging the 11th of Nov, after I updated with the latest patch. All worked before then. No livery change etc…

To those who are complaining about the log book… Did you read the title of the post?
Only one of you said anything about whether or not you’re using any liveries.

Unless your complaints are based on you having empty Community folders, what do your complaints mean? Any mod could possibly be breaking the logbook, and how’s Asobo supposed to fix it without a detailed “this is how it works, and this is what breaks it” bug report??? And how is a poorly created mod Asobo’s fault (other than why was it “poorly” written in the first place)?

Ultimately, Asobo does need to create a detailed SDK that describes how to create these mods. I still feel uncomfortable with how I’m creating liveries and don’t totally understand the process.

I have a similar problem. Loaded liveries and my logbook completely reset lost. 100 hours ofg flight time.
