Stars and Other Objects are Visible Only in One Eye

Thanks for merging the different threads. is it possible to change the title of this thread? Since this issue is not limited only to stars. Also it is not that stars are invisible but rather they are blurry on the right eye along with clouds and certain other object like lamp posts.

Thank you for the bug report.

We have created an internal ticket to see if our team already has this logged, and if not they will attempt to reproduce the issue and create a new bug report. This item is now marked as feedback-logged. If there is an existing bug report or one is created, we will move this thread to bug-logged.

I think the issue, we’re observing, is that either the atmospheric scattering effect is only visible for the right eye or the high level clouds (thin layer) are non transparent for the stars only for the right eye.

I do see this issue within the 787-10 cockpit. But it’s the mouse position that is totally off in one eye when you try to click any buttons in the cockpit. This issue has been there since the launch of FS2024 and wonder if this related to the issue described here.

Just put your VR glasses on in the 787-10 and you will see the issue right away.

This issue is unfortunately still present on 1.6.11 along with other VR issues. Not surprising considering there were no VR fixes in the patch notes. I hope they are able to reproduce this. It’s very annoying to fly at night with the right eye being blurry

It’s bug-logged so fingers crossed for the upcoming version! It so discomfortable to fly in VR with this bug. :smiling_face_with_tear:

Issue still exsts in 1.6.13.0

Confirming. Still exists

Yes, this problem has been around for over three years. There is a bug-logged topic originally reported in FS2020, but now also tagged as a problem in FS2024:

This has not been included in the FS2024 bug list, despite having 148 votes so far. If it hasn’t had any attention for three years despite being bug-logged, I really don’t know if we will ever see a solution.

I have identical spec PC but with Varjo XR-4 and having exactly the same experience as you. Just joined the beta 1.6.15.0.

Another update without any VR fixes. I dunno, even the fact that something is ā€œbug loggedā€ gives me little confidence :person_shrugging:

This is an insult to dedicated VR team. :face_with_peeking_eye: :smiling_face_with_tear:

I think this image captures the problem, you can clearly see that stars and the milky way look much lower resolution in the right eye and clearer in the left.

No VR fixes in the new build (.16) yet. Hope it’s in the works though

Can we pleeeease get a fix for this issue? It’s really ruining night flying  tthis and increased lod on Ai Traffic! They still get culled too soon and have no landing gear

Don’t be suprised if this bug makes it to the full release of SU4. That’s what happened for VR bugs most of the time which is a shame. They never ever prioritize VR and it takes months for them to fix things…

Latest build(18) still has this problem. Please fix it.

I’ve been flying at night a lot lately and this issue is very noticeable. Left eye is fine, right eye is missing detail and looks like someone smothered vaseline over the right lens when looking at the night sky. Please fix before SU4 release!

Another beta release and no mention of a fix…

Yeah the issue is still there. Just fix it Asobo.
