I’m on Steam. In that MSFS24 folder I have neither an XBOXID folder nor a SteamID folder.
I did have 3 folders containing different variations of my username though, and there was a content.xml file in one of them and another in the root MSFS2024 folder. It all seemed to be a bit of a confused mess
I deleted 2 of the 3 username folders (leaving the one that matched my in-game username) then copied the content.xml file from the root into the username folder and that seems to have fixed the issue of things not sticking.
Interestingly I also had two rolling caches. I keep it on a separate disk yet I had one where it should be and one in the root folder.
From what I could guess from my case, the game seems to update the content.xml file within the XboxID subfolder when Enabling/Disabling content within the sim, but when initially starting the sim, it seems to be checking the SteamID subfolder for a content.xml to determine the enabled/disabled status of the library content at load time.
Maybe try not deleting the SteamID subfolder and just copy the one from the XboxID subfolder (after of course, Enabling / Disabling the content you want to stick at sim startup) into that SteamID subfolder.
It doesn’t help in my case. Im on standalone, not steam, & the issue persists even in the period between when one beta end and the next begins.
That being said, I want to disable content, and have it remain disabled: the a10, l39, f18, all Airbus aircraft…the list goes on. I know what I’m never going to fly in msfs, and the aircraft selection menu is crowded enough without having it populated with unwanted aircraft - but in this case, it doesn’t even stay disabled during a single session - content goes thru the motions of being disabled in the content menu, but when I go to aircraft selection menu for free flight, and it’s all right back where it was
Hey can anyone help with why i cant diable or delete any packages?
Ive tried to disable the realistic lights and delete the file out of the fs2024 packages folder but it doesnt work.
The file renables itself after restarting the sim.
Also some downloads will not let you install after downloaded the content e.g gatwick airport from origami?
I have the same problem. I am able only to download the addons or i can enable it only for the actual session. when I stop the simulation and return to Windows desktop and then restart flight simulator 2024 my library does not save the addon enabled in the previous session. I have to enable again all the addons. It is very annoying operation since I have many addons to enable. Before SU3 this did not happen.
Build 1.5.7 still exhibits the behavior, where if you disable something in mylibrary that shows as streamed, it won’t stay disabled if you restart the sim.
