T-Flight rudder pedals just don't work out of the box? - FIXED

This is how I fixed it, original issue listed below but editing this to help people so get to the fix quicker…

  • Check the light is “Green” on your USB dongle (Airplane mode)
  • Uninstall the ThrustMaster drivers
  • Run “joy.cpl” (joystick settings) and reset defaults (DO NOT CALIBRATE)
  • Reinstall the ThrustMaster drivers

Once you have done the above then setup your controls ingame to match the ones @M3Studio9254 posted here…

Thank should fix 99% of issues AFAIK.

Happy flying folks!

Original question : I have the USB dongle set to plane mode (green LED) and it’s detected in game. The axis are completely wrong and even if I set it up manually its doesn’t work.

can you get any control inputs you make visible in the sim? for me even this does not work.

If I click the sensitivity button I can see the values but the X/Y for brakes is 50% centre shifted and if bound to the +/- methods it doesn’t work at all. Brakes are always on unless you push the pedals in fully.

This was purchased since it was on the compatible hardware list :frowning:

Ok! Think I may be on to something here…

Uninstall the TM drivers
Run “joy.cpl” (joystick settings) and reset defaults (DO NOT CALIBRATE)
Then reinstall the TM drivers

I have the same pedals connected to a TWCS Throttle. I think there is an issue on the REVERSE AXIS function of the BRAKES. For me, they (or one of them) always seem to be pressed until I untick REVERSE AXIS and tick it back again.

I already submitted a bug report.

It was working fine during Beta. It must be a bug, so nothing to worry about the compatibility. Will probably get resolved.

I had some trouble as well. Here is my set up that now works.

It was totally a windows/TM driver bug. If you calabrate your pedals before installing the TM drivers then it screws with the min/max on the brakes. Removing the drivers, reseting to default and reinstalling the drivers made everything work

As ThreeGoose88339 said, the default axis are wrong also, but that’s easy to fix using the screen shot they provided

Thanks folks!

I was having a similiar issue as mentioned her, Uninstalled/reinstalled it as per @Kandram and then changed settings as per @ThreeGoose88339.

Thanks!

This setting fixed my issue

A little help Please!!
I cannot get the T rudder pedals, Brake and Rudder Axis set up correctly.
The system defaults to “Left Brake ::Joystick R- Axis Y” and “Right Brake::Joystick R- Axis X” and the “Primary Control Surface -Rudder Axis is mapped to 'Joystick Slider Y”
I have no idea what this " Joystick etc means and the In the aircraft , the brakes and rudder don’t respond
How do I change this so that it actually responds to the movement of my pedals and brakes ?
A picture of the correct settings would be very very much apprectiated
Thansk in advance

Kandram ,
Please guide me in finding the TM driver location ( path?) so that I can uninstall and reinstall the driver
thanks

First download the driver from Thrustmaster. Once downloaded, run the .exe and it should give you the option to uninstall…along with a couple of other options that you won’t need right away.
I’ve been working on this one myself and realized that I had missed a step.
Good luck.

change the mapping to what ThreeGoose88339 suggests. in my case I had same issue like you and it got fixed. now works perfect

Part of my confusion was that the right rudder is “L-Axis” - I thought that meant it was detecting the Left Rudder. Finally figured out Y = Left, X = Right. Thanks for your screenshot!

The Reverse Axis seems a little buggy - you have to toggle it twice at times to see it properly working on the sliding bar.

Thank you !!MUSTRU8828 and SrgtDonut . That worked like a charm

Thanks ThreeGoose!

For my issue, this control mapping did the trick!

The DEFAULT settings assigned by the software did look very similar to the user-modified correct settings, so it wasn’t immediately obvious if you looked through the rudder pedals’ Controls Settings in MSFS.

Anyways, thanks again!

Thank you, this worked for me as well!!!

the left and right brake in sensibility are shifted…the cessna remain blocked on runway with brakes activated.the airplane moves if i press the brake to make it bind with the center of the run in sensibility…in sensibility there is a bug…i’m not talking about invert and default config…i’ve set the axis properly…but you can see in sensibility left and right brake have a strange path…How can i solve this?

can you attach a screenshot of the sensitivity panel?
