Can’t login now man. It’s past midnight here and can’t login to msfs anyway due to xbox outage. Check YouTube may be. Moosetaffa did a advanced training series, not sure if he was on 1.0 or 1.0.1.
No worries, just trying to verify things before deciding to buy or not.
There are other issues however. If you ask me, I would wait for user reviews. By no means it’s bad. But if the issues that are there acceptable to you or not, that only you can decide. I am sure those will get fixed but will you buy now or once those are fixed, that’s also your decision.

British Avgeek’s livestream made it look nice in terms of systems. I have no complaints about the cockpit modeling or textures either. It looks real enough to someone who’s never flown on one.
I can afford to lose $15 on a disappointing Local Legend, but I can’t afford to lose $70+ on an addon that doesn’t measure up, and my standards are higher because of that price tag.
Hopefully more reviews come out now that it’s widely available.

I don’t think it will be a disappointment. There are issues sure, but the team has fixed a lot of them over the last 7-8 months since CE release. It’s just some of us ce owners feel that there are still some issues which should have been fixed before release.
I am hopeful they will fix those soon enough. But still judge for yourself. Better safe than sorry.

I took a look earlier he only briefly covers panel states . Logged a ticket with tfdi . It looks possible it supports state saving lot of money to waste if I am wrong.
Cant hurt to wait and see. $70 is a lot.

I’m hoping there’s enough feedback by tomorrow night. I have Thursday and Friday off so it’s the perfect time to play with a new plane.
All of the recent YouTube reviews are positive. The plane I fly the most is the Leonardo Maddog so I don’t care much about textures anyway.

what a horrible release XD have been witing for 5 hours+ to be able to dowload while i bought it the moment it was released
and now its downloading at0.5mb per minute at this rate ill be playing nex year XD
anyways it seems that evrybody is going crazy for the md-11 i did not expect this much intreset but
especialy after the pmdg 777 release! but what else can we do than wait

even if you could download it, the xbox live server issue will prevent you from loading the sim and flying it, so no rush

I preloaded it yesterday, today downloade 2 MB update.
I take it for a spin, test flight. Everything was good.
Than I wanted to start a new flight.
I pick FedEx livery from TFDi, loaded a flight in VHHH. Landing gear and cockpit was missing.
Quit the flight, than loaded it TFDi livery, which I used for test flight. Again gears were missing, but cockpit was visible. But… nothing worked, no EFB in cockpit and not a single button doesn’t work.
Than I exit the sim and than I couldn’t load the sim, looks like problem with server.
I need to wait till morning, to see is that problem have something with server fail or something went wrong with MD-11.

I gave up trying to install today. Very slow download and then, an ‘installation failed’ message appears.
I hope the server situation is better tomorrow.
Holy cheese balls! Terrible launch! 2hrs to get in a cue to download, then they took another hour or two to process my card purchase (card was “pending”), then the “actual download” from their launcher is crawling (same what Aplayer58 stated, 0.5mb per min!), waited 3hrs and the download launcher just quit, I’m thinking their servers went offline. I want to give TFDI a chance, but I’ll have to see if their servers are better tomorrow after everyone slamming their site today, that I can understand.
Edit Update: Tried the downloader again and it was a pretty fast download when their servers are not being encumbered.

Well, why am I not surprised! I remember trying to purchase the collectors edition and at that time servers acted up quite a bit. Infact there was a minor privacy related incident at that time. I remember getting logged into someone else’s account. Not sure the extent of that fiasco. It was fixed as per them, so hopefully what you are seeing is just normal slowness due to large amount of traffic.

despite the external model improved compared to the version shown in the above video, still needs very much love compared to the cockpit. maybe some modders can touch it or TFDI itself pays attention (hopefully)
