Some had success by turning off multiplayer or run the sim as administrator, there issue to get the data.

Yup they quite clearly said priority would be given to game breaking issues. Not being able to install, crashing, and stuck in various loading screens are much more severe, game breaking problems then a single feature not working. I get for you and some others, the live winds not working is a big deal. But a lot of people have either not gotten that far yet, (for example, itās hard to complain about a broken turn signal on your car if the engine wonāt even start) or donāt care about the feature. I honestly donāt care about it that much. Iām more bummed about some of the avionics features missing in the G1000, G3X, than live winds. Iād like it working, yes. I submitted a ticket on zendesk as well for the issue and a monolith building I found near Elgin, Illinois. But that aside, I am an engineer for over 20 years. I can tell you with certainty that most companies canāt even get reports current in 2 weeks of issues from the field/customer base. Thatās pretty universal. Go viral with a youtube video decrying the issue and it will get bumped to the top - but otherwise, this is a lower tier for them I am certain. I have yet to see anyone talking about this being broken in social media or other places beyond this message board and reddit. But install issues - they are all over the place. I will be surprised if they mention it in the patch due out supposedly today. Give it some time. I understand the angst absolutely.

I agree. However, this has been an issue for far far far far longer than 2 weeks. There have been a handful of youtube videos about it now that people are flocking the the hurricane.

Live weather is ruined for most of the world. Whether its the sim or the data source, something is broken. Weather is a significant factor to flying - what an immersion destroying issue for a simulator to have on launch.

Everyone just needs to chill. I work in software development, and BELIEVE ME, they know about all the issues regardless of whether the social media / community representative has acknowledged them. Stop freaking out like they are never going to fix the game. It may take a few months to catch up on the backlog, but this isnāt a forever issue. The āI would never have bought the game if I knew XYZā stuff is getting old. Just ask for a refund, or put it away for a month or two until XYZ feature becomes available. This isnāt life or death. The weather is broken. And life moves on.

My concern is not that the weather from MS is broken but that there is currently no way for 3pd to come in and do it right like there is with airplanes. One of the active sky guys chimed in yesterday saying that theyre at a standstill right now because thereās no way to interface with the weather.

Has been raised, if you needed the confirmation itās not just you, create a ticket, move on.
Imo the forum should be used to verify an issue before raising it on Zendesk. The whining about or outrage posts help noone. Bug reports do.
Yes itās frustrating, yes I want helicopter and VR and weather and new planes and better AP and less stutter. All been raised already and if they work like any other software shop it will be addressed based on priorities.
Yes, M$ is just out to make quick bugs, clearly noone at Asobo can code, yada yada we heard it all before.
Ideally use search since this topic has repeated many times.
(And yes Iām one of the condescending tech alpha people I guess, or just voicing an opinion on how to leave constructive feedback)

Uhhā¦ source? Iāve not seen a peep from them on their forum. Iām not doubting that this is the case but I guess Iād like to see it personally.
Iām sure it will be addressed soon, I just think they want to get the smaller things sorted first before moving back into other issues like weather, terrain, etc. This issue has been known, however it seems that they look at other topics/issues first before addressing other issues.

I have seen some answers from the support team stating that winds are mostly accurate but that sometimes the forecast model may be āa bitā off. I havenāt seen them acknowledging it.
At the end it all depends on what side the AA battery falls:

To be honest, out of all of the negativity, this is probably the only one that really resonated with me. Why in the name of all that is holy did they decide to put weather, of all things, on the back burner?
Not only is weather one of the main selling points of the sim, with their new pretty clouds and whatnot, but itās also a huge part of aviation itself.
At the very least they need to acknowledge that this problem is happening and not ignore it because I guarantee you this one wonāt just go away, especially since third party devs canāt fix it either with the current tools.

Yea, these kind of blunders in the flight sim community never end well.
Just like DTG and their FSW weāll give the development team some more time to correct this blunder, but I think gamers donāt care about the weather and its their opinion that matters this time by once again.
The latest info on the update contained 6 categories of fixes and 20 SCREENSHOTSā¦are they really STILL trying to sell this product?..oh no, its because screenshots are the 1 and only major theme.
Maybe in 10 years wind will be important, within 10 months gamers will have abandoned this project for another new game.
I have been doing all I can to compel the MSFS team to make weather importantā¦ everything that needs to be said has been said.
Pop the popcorn, grab your beverage of choice, we are in for a treat.

I just used FSX stock live weather about 3 hours ago and it is working, just some testing around Canada & Spain.
