šŸ©¹ The patch everyone was waiting for (Jul 30) has been released! (topic emotion grade: lively, but still civil)

stutters and low fps compared to when im in the air where i can get 60 fps and no stutters.

Hey, dale, not sure what thatā€™s supposed to mean. There is no 170 dollar version of msfs2020, you had all the options to see what youā€™re getting into. Youtube videos, 1 dollar subs, and if you think that the sim was a risk, why go for an actual copy, instead of accessing it on a monthly basis via a cheap subscription? Makes no sense to me and the price isnā€™t an argument. Msfs2020 can be purchased for a little over 50 dollars, letā€™s not distort reality here

Hahaha, yes, exactly. A little humor and lightness can go a long way! Thanks GhostlyFrend. Now Go Asobo!!

I think its a matter of HDR or SDR not VR or 2d. This is from my system in 2D. All the detail is gone. Sure snow is bright, but our eyes adjust, and the monitor doesnā€™t.

the problem with the dvdā€™s is, its a very old version, so after that install you have to still download a large online update.
def not recommended these dvdā€™s

This is exactly what im talking about. Something is messed up after SU5.

that looks bad but can be fixed with soem twiddling, set bloom of.
and in usercfg.opt set eyeadaption and colorgrading to zero.
not ideal but a good workaround until its fixed.

Been there done that. it makes it look worse.

Hey Wombat. Not sure where you are getting your info, but I paid 170 bucks for the full sim on steam. Not all of us live in Merica you know. Hi from canada

Thx for info. So now its all in Asobo handsā€¦

Is this Hotfix meant to be landing today at 1600 UTC ?

Sure. Thatā€™s why I dropped 170 bucks.

15.00 UTC which is 16.00 GMT DST I think

Yeah, canadian dollars being the key here. The ā€œfullā€ version of the sim is the base version that can be had for 60 dollars. It doesnā€™t lack any functionality that the deluxe versions have, a few airports and stock planes is all you get extra, and thats ENTIRELY UP TO YOU whether you need that or not, so again, itā€™s no argument.

What does ā€œCo-Pilotā€ mean?

Well , in fairness, it sounded argumentative. But I take you at your word. Discounting someoneā€™s experience does not make it untrue. Also, it was totally my choice. I happen to think it was money well spent.

Happy hotfixing.

What I want to get at, is that 170 dollars can be misinterpreted by many as us dollars, which also happened in my case, because the first thing you think of when reading dollars, is obv US dollars. 170 sounds a lot more extreme than 136 and makes it all appear more dramatic, which is what he wanted to achieve with his post. But regardless, I see this argument often, that people complain because they spent money on the sim. And Iā€™m merely saying: there are so many videos and blogs out there, revealing every single detail and aspect of the sim since day one. Thereā€™s no excuse. People had all the chances to know what sort of adventure they were getting into and thats my point. For people that are cautious, the subscription is the way to go. Cheers

Unless youā€™ve paid 170. Not my fault you are us focussed, nor Daleā€™s. Things coat the same here as they do south of the border.170 is a lot of money. People get upset when their 4 dollar burger isnā€™t made properly.

Donā€™t want to argue with you any more. You are free to your opinion. There is a big big world outside your borders.

They already have our money. Critical mass for PC sales is over. Itā€™s about Xbox now and will be until sales there peter off in about a year and the majority of Xbox gamers forget MSFS even exists.

Once the flood of cash from Xbox dries up, theyā€™ll come back to PC since thatā€™s the user base that will keep it alive for the next 8 years.
