Thrustmaster TCA quadrant still not completely working

Thank you very much. I will try that tomorrow or Monday. I appreciate your help.

Normally if you use the default account if the throttle all is set correct. You just habe to reset the curves and save this configuration.
the only thing I have to change is the directions of the flaps and spoilers.
Maybe you check your recalibration in the sim and. Windows via the system configuration. There you can see if everything is correct. Even with the virtuell buttons.

I have never written.

What I meant was that the predefined settings of Asobo work for ā€œENG 1&2ā€, but not for ā€œENG 3&4ā€, because this controller is not natively (!) supported by MSFS. See screenshots:

ENG 1&2

ENG 3&4

And for this reason, for example, the reset to ā€œNorm Modeā€ does not work yet. But according to my ticket at Zendesk, they are on it.

I understand what you mean, however, with this solution you can only control two engines at the same time. In the end, you have the same as if you had only one quadrant. For me it is important to be able to control the engines individually. Otherwise I would not have needed a second quadrant. But I’m sure everyone has a different opinion.

Why would that be only control two engines at the same time? There’s the metal bar that locks the quadrant together. If you need individual engines, just pull out the bar. As long as you bind each thrust lever to each engines. You should have full control over each engines.

@flydagem solution is to make it easier to land and deploy the reversers by pulling the latch on throttle 1 and 4 and use the small knob thingy to lock the latch in the up position. That way, you just need to rest your hands on throttle 2 and 3 and would only need to unlatch 2 locks to bring all 4 throttles to reverse, rather than having to unlatch all four of them.

While I understand the need to have full control over each engines. I think it’s only used asymetrical engine control when you absolutely need to. On normal operations, you wouldn’t be moving individual throttles anyway so it’s best to just keep the bar in to lock both thrust levers together, and only remove it when you absolutely need to control individual engine.

@Neo4316 Yes, absolutely and exactly what I was trying to describe.
@NCD3 I have found that replacement mines for pens do also work for connecting two levers. Make sure they are empty or dried up… If you shorten them (by cutting) and glue a small handle on it on one end you have two small pins that you can pull out (using the handle) to control every engine individually. Plus you can insert them easily again for symmetrical every-day operation.
Good to hear the problem of recognizing a second quadrant is know and people can start working on it.

Personally I am quite happy with the two throttles and I guess I might enjoy even more once we have decent airliners.

Good evening Neo4316
I just received the TCA Airbus Addons.
I installed them without any manipulation on MFS2020.
the wing flaps, airbrakes and the parking brake operate.
the landing gear ā€œupā€ works, ā€œdownā€ no.
autobreak (Auto BRK) does not work.
thanks for your help.

Can I ask where you got the TCA Quadrant add on from? I cannot see anyone that is able to deliver.. So would love to know..

The max. Auto Brake selection (pos 4) and spooler arming do it for me with the A32NX
The other selections of auto braking (pos 1,2,3) does not work.
I have put arm spoilers as a second entry on position 1 and disarm as entry for the BTV position.

thank you i will try

I would have proven it the other way around: Disarm position for spoilers disarmed.

Spoiler Disarm position is a open contact.
BTV is a closed contact that can be bound to an action.

Hi buy ny directly at thrusmater web site and take 5 days to receive

Today had to reset all srtings on fs, and now verytingo works perfect including
Gear down and up
Motor buttos now backs to normal possition.
The only thing not working is the auto brake button.

It’s appearce possible when i use two different arming commands,

  • Set auto spoilers arming - joystick 22 (pos BTV).
  • Arm auto spoilers - joystick 23 (pos LO).

Auto BRK switch

  • Pos Disarm - Spoilers are disarmed
  • Pos BTV - Spoilers are armed
  • Pos LO, 2, 3 and HI - Spoilers are armed

Auto braking still not working in positions ā€œLO, 2 and 3ā€.
Auto braking position ā€œHIā€ is working okĆ©.

The problem with auto braking is only there while using the A32NX mod.
In the standard version of the A320 everything works okƩ.

I have an idea for those with the TCA addon. But since I don’t have it, I have no way to test it.

So, does the spoiler lever has a virtual button in the detents? My idea is to have The top most position in the retracted position as the Disarm Auto Spoilers, then one notch down into the first detents, if there’s a virtual button there, it could be bound to the Arm Auto Spoilers.

If the top most retracted position doesn’t have a virtual button, then the command would be bound to SET auto spoilers on the first detent instead.

Since the whole spoilers is using the spoilers axis, you can assign a kind of deadzone on the first part of the spoilers so that the sim ignores the movement between the fully retracted position to the first detent. And only below that first detent is where the spoilers start to deploy.

So retract position means fully retracted and disarmed.
First detent, is fully retracted but armed.
Anything below that will disarm the autospoilers but deployed through an axis.

So basically, the idea is to make it similar to how the Boeings do their spoilers arming.

Hi everyone , with regards the arming of the spoilers ,I’ve made use of the throttle axis on the joystick and assigned it for that …I couldn’t really think what other use the small throttle switch could be of use since having the throttle and its addon pack .and it works fine for me .
Cheers

The throttle axis in the joystick is useful for brake axis.. if you don’t have pedals. Hahaha.

The bad is: they did all the virtual button stuff but not for the spoilers…
