Description of the issue: There is an invisible lightsource in more than one helicopter that turns on at night and cannot be switched off. The lightsource is somewhere inside the helicopter body, causing a bright glare in the cockpit, making night flying almost impossible.
If applicable, which aircraft is experiencing this issue:
Confirmed for Airbus H-125, Bell-407 & Guimball Cabri (possibly more?)
[PC Only] Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue?
FREQUENCY OF ISSUE
100%
How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?
REPRODUCTION STEPS
Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:
Considering it’s always in the center of your view I would assume it’s the flashlight. Look at the binding for it and try to turn it off. If the light source stays on the dashboard when you look arround then it’s a bug and you have to restart the game to get rid of it.
Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?
• Yes
Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:
• I’ve seen this in a multitude of aircraft. See my posts on threads referenced above by @DementedCorn327
If relevant, provide additional screenshots/video:

If you look at the screenshots and check the shadows, you can see that the lightsource is inside the aircraft body. Possibly to illuminate the passenger area, but it’s too bright and not tied to an object, so it cannot be switched off.

• Intermittent issue seems to happen very randomly when loading an aircraft at night. It can only be fixed by completely restarting the game.
I’ve tried loading different aircraft and then going back to the one that got affected, but the light is rendered again when I load into it again.
I tried toggling the flashlight without effect.
Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:
• So far, I have had this problem appear in the Cessna 208B EX, the Cessna 172 Basic, and Cessna 172 G1000 cargo variant.
If relevant, provide additional screenshots/video:
This one shows the flashlight shining on the yoke and rudder pedals while the mystery light shines on the instrument panel. You can see the Master Battery is off, too.
The mystery light is very bright and can’t be affected by anything. It even shines through the aircraft, as seen here. You can see it’s illuminating the instrument panel, going through the plane, and lighting the ground.
We have created an internal ticket to see if our team already has this logged, and if not they will attempt to reproduce the issue and create a new bug report. This item is now marked as feedback-logged. If there is an existing bug report or one is created, we will move this thread to bug-logged.
It’s inconsistent. Now I don’t have it, but previously I had it with all helis and some planes. I have a shortcut for the torch and all cabin lights set up just to see which works, but they didn’t do anything. These weird invisible lights do not move if you move your head, though, so I had some occasions when BOTH were on. That’s MSFS for you, I guess
Take a look at this video. You can see I am in the aircraft with the flashlight/torch turned on. Then, in a moment the mysterious spot light comes on to my right. Then I toggle off the flashlight and the spotlight remains.
It’s not tied to the flashlight. It is something else entirely.
