Been using Toolbar Pushback in the past and didn’t have many issues as I recall it despite all bad stuff I read about it now with memory leaks etc.
Now I’m in a situation where I’ve been using GSX Pro for some time but been fighting some really annoying and intermittent CTDs where GSX Pro is one of the clear suspects (regardless how the dev of GSX Pro claims his software would never cause a CTD…).
Due to this I’ve left GSX Pro out of the mix for now but I do miss the pushback. Where the built-in pushback in the PMDG 737 leaves lots to be desired. So, now I’m looking for alternatives but doesn’t really seem to be that many. Pretty much Toolbar Pushback or FS2Crew Pushback. Which also haven’t received that good reviews from what I’ve seen.
For those of you currently using Toolbar Pushback with the latest version of MSFS and the PMDG 737, does it work OK for you? Also, I gave it a quick try a couple of days ago but couldn’t get any audio. I recall having this issue in the past but forgot what the solution was back then.
Any input from current users flying the PMDG 737 highly appreciated. Both regarding Toolbar Pushback as well as any other good alternatives.
I’m having the same problem. It like wants to start but doesn’t . When you push the start icon, it just flashes the screen for a fraction of a second, and that’s it. Please help.

Ambitious Pilot is not supporting anymore his nice product. I been in touch with Parall 42 for this and they reply that they won’t do anything about that matter.

Just installed GSX Pro to give it another try. After making a system image backup to make sure I can go back should I start seeing CTD issues again.
I really do hope that won’t be the case because I like what GSX Pro does for the immersion but most importantly, how it provides a better pushback option.
Lately I’m having some issues with Toolbar Pushback and I’m not sure what has lead to this. Maybe some cullprit add-ons (I have a lot of them) but how to know which one?!
For instance, calling ground services doesn’t work anymore all of a sudden. And also the pushback itself doesn’t function anymore. The pushback tug will attach it to my plane, but the actual pushback doesn’t start.
Also every sentence gets repeated multiple times (very annoying!)
I mostly fly with PMDG 737-700 and -800 (and -900 since this week).
Anyone else with these kind of issues and happened to resolve it?
I sometimes have to click „hold“ in the Toolbar Pushback ingame panel after attaching the tug to get pushback started. And of course parking brake needs to be released.
Just another idea, did you remove the wheel chocks (over the FMS)?
This issue does not occur for 100% of the pushbacks but I have the feeling that it occurs more often since I‘m flying the 737 (before I maily used the FBW A320).
I also cannot say how to reproduce it. Sometimes everything works fine, sometimes the Pushback is without audio and lifting not visibie, sometimes it is stuck where I have to click the hold button in the ingame panel that the plane starts moving. Always different and no idea what influences these differences
Another issue I notice sometime is that when I do the PB preplanning, the aircraft symbol and PB route lines in the maps disappear. Then I use the manual PB as I have no idea how to reset that.
But in the end, I‘m always able to get the aircraft pushed back.
I also fly mainly the PMDG 737 (before that the FBW A320).
I have the same issues as you have. When planning a pushback, after a while the image and line disappear. When I press Enter it will get saved though
This is going to be a weird one. But when I loaded up toolbar pushback in my sim. As soon as I clicked pre-plan pushback it froze my whole pc and I couldn’t do anything I had to press and hold the power button to shut the pc down. I checked reliability monitor and it said hardware error, so now I don’t really know.
Has anyone else had this freezing problem when clicking pre plan pushback?
I also just found out that there was a memory leak error with toolbar pushback. So I don’t know. Any help would be highly appreciated
So I decided to be a little silly and see just how much I can pre-plan for a pushback. Turns out I could plan it all the way to a runway. It only took an hour to get there, but think of all the money I saved on fuel during the taxi!
Don’t mind the video quality. I was recording via AMD’s own program on a somewhat low spec pc for this. I did notice that frame rates and stutters became worse the further I was pushed, but didn’t have time to see if it was because of the recording or maybe something to do with the pushback. Not like this is meant to be a super serious video anyway.

Do you plan announcing new releases in this thread or in the other you opened yesterday (just to follow!)
Will the next update(s) address the issues with the Fenix A320? Many people have been holding off using the Toolbar Pushback because, apparently, the tug will invisibly stick to the aircraft, and can lead to issues during cruise.
