now that the foam at my mouth is gone, I finally had the pleasure of taking care of what really matters. Namely the plane.
What can I say? I have observed the project from the beginning.
And now that it’s been brought to completion, I can only say that it’s quite possibly the best thing I’ve ever seen in SimWorld.
When I fly it around, I can feel every drop of heart’s blood that went into it.
I really have the impression that exactly the right people have found themselves there and I predict a great future for this team.
This is your first plane, more will follow, God help us.
If you want you can watch this video. It shows one of the most beautiful planes in the world on the most beautiful mountain in the world.
I picked up the Gladiator K 2 years ago in anticipation for MSFS 2020 since it was exactly what I was looking for at the time. I was previously using an old MS Sidewinder Precision 2, and had bought the Thrustmaster TCA Sidestick right when that came out but it was kind of meh and I had just learned of VKB while waiting for that to be delivered so I got the VKB and have been very happy with it.
Anyways here is a photo of my flight setup. Please excuse my somewhat dirty desk.
Also sorry I’ve continued the off topic joystick talk.
Back to the original reason joysticks were brought up. I also experienced the pull to the left when taking off. I’m sure it’s not my stick as It’s got a high quality contactless sensor in the twist that I use for rudder control and it has a slightly large deadzone set to prevent accidental rudder input while flying.
No auto rudder. Currently on the SU10 beta
Also had the free version installed before getting the premium but removed it before installing premium version
Edit: Just did a flight out of Moffett Field with the clear sky preset and it was pulling a little to the left both on take off and when landing. It’s not as bad as most single engine prop planes but you do have to give it a little right rudder to correct.
Thank you for the feedback. I don’t know if others posting this issue are also all in SU10 beta or if this is affecting SU9 as well. Hopefully we’ll get to the bottom of it.
Correct. No Piloting Assistance. They are off anyway, but the plane is locked on Volocopter anyway and I can’t change them to even cycle them. SU9, not the beta for SU10.
Just tried it again with an almost head on headwind (coming about 20 degrees from the right at 10 knots) and the plane veered to the right without any control input.
Not a huge deal but loading times specifically with the F-22(non FBW is all I’m flying with) are longer than normal. Not sure if that’s something that can be fixed or not. Not a deal breaker by any means.
I had high hopes for this project and I am not let down at all. It’s brand new and we(sim community) are literally in a transition from SU9 to SU 10 with a good mix of some in SU10 beta and a good mix on SU9. I don’t think it’s realistic expectations to think a product that is used by people with a variety of different pc specs/controllers on top of the game in the process being update would not have any glitches or bugs.
TMS have never shyed away from a glitch, they investigate and find solutions until resolution. There’s been nothing to suggest this will not remain. That all being said, I am rather disappointed I am not seeing more F-22 TMS flying in the skies. It’s fun solo but looks even cooler in formation.
I think we should try to plan a huge F-22 meet up for the initial release week.
Same problem here, thrustmaster T16000 pedals, joystick, throttle, sometimes the joystick and pedals are locked, not working, i need to restart the sim. So it seems there is a bug in this new F22. Information ! I took out all files of the freeware F22 from the sim.
Fly-by-wire version is also veering left or right uncontrollably based on wind direction. Unusable. How on earth wasn’t this picked up during beta testing?
hi again, no auto rudder. I get crosswinds and so on, but not where I cannot keep an aircraft on the runway, which is what happens here. I see there has been a patch so I’ll give that a go. Thanks for the reply.
Honestly you’re better off using PayPal for Justflight. My card number got nicked after purchasing from their website for the second or third time just the other day.
