Top Mach Studios: Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor

Thanks for the bug report. We’re accumulating these and will prepare fixes as soon as we can. Glad you’re enjoying otherwise!

I have been waiting for over a year for this F22 to come to Xbox, and I am loving every second of flying it!

Great job on the detail, and just everything as a whole!

Congratulations on the Xbox launch!

Thank you  The only other thing I noticed was that there are a few performance hitches every now and again which I guess is to be expected this early on. It did appear when flying but mostly on the ground while moving to the runway and only really when turning the plane. Almost like frame stutter.

Dont want to say too much on the negative front as its an amazing plane. Really amazing stuff.

Thanks for the feedback both pos and neg. Good to know where the issues are so we can address those.

Loving the f22 so far but i have a question about the sounds ive noticed the pc version sounding more like the real f22 and the xbox version sounding more like the f18 is there a difference in the audio packages for both platforms? But other then that the f22 is a breath of fresh air for the xbox keep up the amazing work!!

Amazing plane!

No difference between the packages. Check your sound settings if you haven’t already and make sure you don’t have headset emulation turned on in the cockpit.

I’m getting a few issues with this on Xbox series x I’ve had a couple of CTDs when loading into the world, stuttering whilst using the rudders on the ground and when other F22s are near in multiplayer it causes stuttering even when flying a different aircraft

I can confirm that the issues with the plane being erratic while controlling externally via drone/showcase only affects the FBW version. The non FBW behaves correctly.

I’ve been able to actually load into the world once out of dozens of attempts (Xbox Series S). CTD every time. The one time I made it to the cockpit I turned on the battery…CTD

We’ve had some reports from series S customers that removing all other content from the device (games, add ons, etc…) appears to free enough resources to run the Raptor. Not a particularly great solution, we know. We’re working on some fixes. When those are available will depend on how quickly we can build test and then most importantly how quickly MSFT can get our fix processed. Sorry for your experience and please have some patience while we work the problem.

Thanks for the advice! I can verify this workaround did improve my experience. Going into my Xbox console settings → System → Storage → Flight Simulator → Delete “Reserved Space”.

Not a perfect solution, but indeed a temporary option.

That’s a new one and I can report that on our discord as well. If you’d like to follow us on discord and follow the chatter, you can find us here: Top Mach Studios, LLC

I’ve had problems with constant stuttering with the (PC) F22 in VR. I tried various fixes but in the end just gave up on it. I thought I’d give it another try after Sim-update 12, and to my delight, it seems to be working perfectly. No stutters and running smooth as butter. Cheers, really enjoying flying it!

We had seen your reported issue back in November / December time frame, but didn’t take action knowing that SU12 was coming and there would be some additional optimizations for VR customers. Additionally, we are working on improving the memory footprint for the F-22 model in a coming hotfix for Xbox customers and that should have knock-on performance benefits for PC customers as well. Stay tuned

Everything was working great on my series x for the past 3 days until today, I keep getting black screens and no HUD on cold or runway startups. I’ve been trying for an hour now

Yeah same for me it’s also happening with the Osprey and C310R which both also use WASM

Okay, thanks for reporting that. Seems to be global.
