I would expect a hotfix, as they broke the ability of a part of their (paying) player base. I actually expected something a couple of days or a week after breaking it, but so far they have disappointed me.
Looks like they just don’t care enough about the few percent of us that use TrackIR.

They only say something when they intend to fix something quickly.

They dont have to tell anyone why there is a delay. Releases get delayed all the time and most people would rather know they are getting a more fleshed out release than a rushed one

I’m really starting to think this won’t be fixed until the next major update.

True, but keeping silent about such a delay would hardly solve anything, would it?

Basically, TrackIR is useless with a fix. I will stop using it until the fix happens…
This isn’t a release we are talking about… This is a hotfix that is needed. Oh and I noticed yesterday there was an “update” to the Reno Air Races, probably for the known cheat… Seems like they are more concerned about some things more than others… Sad because it just shows they are dismissing certain consumers over others.

They can just say “We are delaying to make sure we have the most polished update”
Again, and especially now with all the botched game releases (GTA Trilogy, BF2042, CP2070) most gamers say they would prefer to wait and have a better experience.
I can’t imagine it should take them more than a week to fix the TrackIR issue since it was a problem they already fixed previously
Also, with all the complaints about previous SUs, I think everyone would definitely appreciate them releasing it with less bugs for once

So the problem is… Don’t release a fricken update till it is a "quality"update. Releasing half baked updates just makes your product taste like ■■■■! And God knows that 99.99% of people don’t want to eat ■■■■. With that being said, I would rather have a 2 to 3 week delayed update that is fully cooked and ready to be served than this kind of ■■■■. Lol

I dont understand this response…
I just think it’s laughable that you think MS/Asobo could claim to have a “polished update”.

I’m there myself at this point. I found a way with TrackIR that works for me, now if only the sim itself worked. I’ve landed twice in the last 10 flights, the rest are CTDs.
New twist… With the Track IR issue, it progressed to the point I can no longer use the switch in the Camera menu to turn it back on. I click the switch and it "flashes"on for a split sec, then back off. Did a complete MSFS dump and reinstall with no change.
Decided to give Tobii Eye 5 a try. Actually worked great for one flight, then the exact same issue as TrackIR 5 started and cannot “move” the switch back to “on”.

Thats fair, I’m just saying they should try
Hi ! Same for me with CTD…
Wich version of track ir are you using ?
And did you rename the 2 files simconnectmanifest ?
Thanks…
I’m at that point too now. All done with this. I would have felt a lot better about this whole issue if they had come out and said something about this and said we hear you and we’re working on it or it won’t be fixed until the next update. Because there’s been nothing said it’s really disappointing and I’ve lost interest in the sim. I really used to enjoy it but now I’ve chosen to not support this anymore and have gone back to FSX-SE. They really need to up their game as it were and at least respond to an issue like this that affects a lot of peoples enjoyment of this hobby. Many unhappy customers right now Asobo and MS.

I’m going to ask again. Is there a mod/admin/ambassador who can push Asobo to give us a statement? Last time I asked, someone said “they did in this thread already” and when I said I missed it and asked them to quote they just showed a mod telling people to stay on topic lol

I’ve spoken in defense of Asobo many times, feeling that most of the criticism leveled at them should have been aimed at Microsoft. Not this time. This silence and delay in fixing the TrackIR problem is grotesque. It may not have been to Asobo’s liking to release SU7 before it was resolved, but at this point, the ball is squarely in Asobo’s court, not Microsoft’s, and Asobo is failing miserably.
