Well, apparently they are taking questions live on Twitch / YouTube this evening for the dev Q&A stream, rather than pre-screened questions from a forum thread.
That is correct!
Hard to believe they could think this is ādoneā already. All you have to do is look at P3D to see how a professional level flight simulation platform should support multiple monitors or projectors.
This is another reason to sadly conclude that MSFS will always be more of a desktop video game with loads of eye candy rather than a platform for home cockpit builders and professional users.
Didnāt hear or see anything on the latest stream about multi monitor support. Given the response last time that they think āits doneā I wouldnāt be expecting any future development unfortunately.
Its a LONG way from ādoneā!
I asked the question but it wasnāt brought up; from what I could see I was literally the only person to ask a multi-monitor question on the Dev Q&A so I guess itās just not that important to most people.
Well that is the reason why you were the only one.
I feel like they dont care. Considering we represent a small enthusiastic level of user base that does not surprise me, so i stopped asking.
One dayā¦
Edit: Deleted. After posting I re-read my comment. It felt more like a thread ā ā ā ā than a germane comment on multi-monitor support.
If VR floats your boat, fair enough. It doesnāt float mine, for lots of reasons (I have several headsets, but I donāt use them to fly with).
As to who has the cash to buy 3 TVs just for simming? Plenty of people do. Who would buy 3 TVs just for simming? Probably a lot fewer people. But still quite a few can and would. Me for one.
All Asobo needed to do was replicate what FSX / P3D already had. That would have been enough. But the game was designed as a crossover PC/Console game, so single screen support was deemed good enough.
Yes. I agree that how one spends their money and gets the most use out of the game/simulation is their business. Thatās why I deleted the comment. I dumped into a thread about multi-monitor support with a comment on VR support, which was basically off the topic. My apologies.
Yeah, 3 TVs these days can be like $6-800. You kind of need at least a small office or something dedicated to it though, by the time you do a desk, flight controls, chair, etc. But 3 x 32" screens would fit on a big desk.
