Figured I’d make a separate thread given 2024 is shipping with a very old DLSS version. There is an app called DLSS Swapper that allows you to easily change the DLSS version per game installed.
MSFS 2024 is shipping with a very old 2.* DLSS version. Glass screens in MSFS with DLSS 3.8.10 look like TAA! Not sure if there are any other tradeoffs but the screens no longer look like they are coated in Vaseline.
Ok I can also confirm that the DLSS updated file does help immensely. I was wondering what the hell was wrong with 2024 compared to 2020 but forgot I also replaced that file.
Coincidentally I also changed my Quest 3 to 90 Hz and things feel really smooth now. Not using any tools/utilities for VR as well. Thanks a ton
Edit:
So the DLSS is better for sure but still not quite enough to read the MFD easily in the G1000 172. I feel like I’m restarting my VR tuning adventure that took me hours and hours in 2020 lol
Well, I don’t know… I tried again but I can’t see any difference in the glass screen. I posted screenshots in another thread.
Currently I reached a compromise with DLSS Ultra Quality and frame generation with OptiScaler to get decent framerates and quality.
Why why why did they ship with 2 yr old dlss driver? V3.8.1 make s abig difference to quality as well as frame rate, both flat screen and vr for me, plus my system is more stable now, a fwe less CTD’s during missions
