Which altitude value is the MSFS automated ATC system using? I think part of the previous poster’s issue was that he was level at a certain indicated altitude, and ATC saw him as being to low or high.
Exactly. That’s the question. If I had to guess, I’d say that the assignment flight level is (correctly) pressure or calibrated altitude but when they are giving traffic alerts, they use geometric altitude.

For me, this is best shown when I fly an ATC flight using Flight Assistant AI Pilot in MSFS 2020 v 1.38.2.0 and real weather.
ATC will complain about my being at the wrong altitude until I turn real weather off. Comments?
