The issue seems to be something that happens when the sim starts.
I always have backups of the configuration files and I can see the UserCfg.opt is updated when changing the settings in the sim, but that doesn’t help as it get’s reset on sim start.
Haha another beta and another full of VR bugs. No thanks, i am definitely NOT joining betas until someone in Asobo check things in VR before releasing updates.
We have created an internal ticket to see if our team already has this logged, and if not they will attempt to reproduce the issue and create a new bug report. This item is now marked as feedback-logged. If there is an existing bug report or one is created, we will move this thread to bug-logged.
All my carefully-crafted custom VR settings now gone on first loading of the settings page, tbh in what looks like a deliberate action rather than an accident.
Yeah, same for me. Luckily I can remember all my settings, but it it’s still a major drag.
Devs should be forced to only use VR until this is fixed, lol.
I can confirm my settings are reset on each restart.
Also annoying is the extra screen I have to go through to reset some of the options. As mentioned elsewhere, why on earth was this introduced rather than using a simple drop-down menu (requiring fewer keystrokes) where appropriate? Asobo seem obsessed with doing things awkwardly rather than simply - for example we are still stuck with the sideways-scrolling aircraft selection screen, so much worse than the FS2020 version. Similarly, rather than the FS2020 Cold & Dark start inside the cockpit, Asobo insisted on a C&D start outside, even once they were pressured into re-introducing a form of it in FS2024. If you must change something like this, at least give us the option of resorting to the “legacy” model.
Same here, VR graphical settings get reset upon start of the sim.
Also: VR graphical setting “Max Framerate” is still linked/synced with general graphical setting “Max Framerate”, these should be separately saved settings/values.
