Warning: Your graphics device has encountered a problem

Spent an hour and a half in a perfect flight until final approach, around 5 miles away from the runway threshold. CTD and a waste o’ time. So annoying. I wish I could use this fantastic game entirely. Please, Asobo, do something to fix this rightaway. Thanks in advance.

I do not think it is any kind of answer but I just realised that my laptop tells me my NVIDIA gpu is causing an error every time it starts up. It does not cause any problem since I do not have FS20 installed on it, it just keeps on running. If FS20 CTD on this alarm I would have problem but I do not. They are both on the same driver but different gpu’s.

I’ve been having the same problems for many weeks. And I’m hoping for tomorrow’s update. Then it should work normally again. Hopefully, I’ll bet a lot on it. Because they are doing something with the memory management of the GPU.

Not @ all, not this bug, thats why it crashes to the desktop, to end the sim from processing, to not to harm the system, due to the error being encountered.

other bugs out there can be different of course, but not in this case.

eventually, there is no bug will last, no bug ever lasted, thats a good news beside what su11 offers.

Unfortunately I just know the eventual fix will reduce performance just like the two hotfixes for SU5 did. before them I had a shortlived blast skimming over the London rooftops and (up to) 75fps with a fanless 2GB GT1030 (720p, volumetrics disabled).

New technologies are being implemented, some are performance optimizations, and other performance leveling up. whats coming will be nicer, the sim is just 2 years old, & its becoming an universal platform of flight simming, so i doubt errors will last eventually, but that dose’nt mean immediately in the same time.

Just got this famous error message while downloading stuff in the content manager
The best proof that the game settings don’t matter and (contrary to Asobo’s suggestions) it has nothing to do with an overload of the graphics card.

Sitting in the menus without a frame cap can be bad for your (pc’s) health. Try setting low power mode in General Options/Experimental. If it is already then try without.

FPS are already limited to 33% monitor refresh rate / 40FPS (even in the menu), but thank you for your suggestion!

But I thought Asobo suggested poor voltage reporting by some Nvidia gpus.

Sounds more like a “desired explanation” to me, because it wasn’t and isn’t a problem in other AAA titles for example. In addition, it has only started about 2 months ago.

i got this as well, Ryzn9 3900X, 6900XT, 64gb Ram with empty community folder… sometimes in menue sometimes at the airport or flying.

SU11 first flight. Then this error again after 5min on the ground. I am out!

I haven’t been able to play for more than 2 months. I was really hoping SU11 would fix the issue, but remain disappointed.

It would be great to at least get a recognition that the bug was identified and being worked on…

I didn’t even get into the game. I was downloading updates from Content Manager.

This is unplayable.

Tested under DX11 before about 4 hours worked until now. Then DX12 and bang immediately after the start after pressing the button, the message came back!!! I can’t really hope that it’s gone. Especially in DX12 because of the popouts!!! I’m really angry and disappointed!!! So hoped after months of crabs!!

Direct correlation between today’s update and the resurfacing of this issue on my 3080ti.

I’ll post this once more and I don’t mean to be spammy and while a little tongue in cheek it’s not meant to belittle Asobo’s efforts but as far as I can tell this message is a catch all that has no real footing in it’s wording … it was probably written by a guy way smarter than most of us and in some way it has a truth to where the line in code that creates it … but that error may have dozens of start points.

Anyways, I give you my version

I hope we are not going to have to wait another month or two to for this to be sorted. It really needs a hotfix ASAP.

Is it possible, given the very high demands currently being placed on the MS servers, that this issue is being prompted by that, rather than any specific coding changes within MSFS SU11?

Even if it is however, something in the code will still need to be amended, to prevent such occasions causing anything more than maybe a bit of a performance hit on the sim.
