Training for fun #1

Made 5 hour flight Bilbao(LEBB) - Paris(LFBG). No CTD, maybe they fixed it…previously all flights over 2 hours went CTD.

Moon over Paris.

I did nothing for a whole week because I was in Charlotte at the NASCAR hall of fame and their simulators inspired me to start rebuilding my sim set up for driving games and flight simulator games

The Xbox needs more airline planes.

Anyway I’m playing this game with a controller on the pc as well and it’s great, with the mouse combination.

I flew over amazingly melted cities of Paris and London.

A lazy time over the Lakes district…just mesmerised by the Spitfire!

Man i love this sim

Today i realy enjoyed flight dynamics in the sim i feit like a seagull soaring with my Cessna C172SP
Standard GA in this Sim on the wind.
I took off from the out skerries and with strong wind coming from the north east high waves were bouncing on the rocky shoals.in no time i was in the air turn strongly to the right and near full defect of rudder while the plane was drifting sideways on the wind, turn a little more right towards the wind,
It was almost hanging still like a seagull enjoy these slight sideways movement with each deflection of rudder and or ailerion, flaps full climbing out of the clouds where wind speed seems to lower down, and got up to speed, after 5 minutes i deceided to decent, i took back my throttle till about 20% and slowly as lift coeffient, went to drag coeffient it start nice and slowly to decent till underneath the cloudbase, then pitcher up and make a left with adding more pressure on the rudder
And stayed in balance with the ailerions wind at the tail, i flew back to the skerries i was there in a moment due the strong wind, then the approach from the lighthouse in for a crosswind landing, which led to a missed approach just inches away from the runway i got up again as i drifted away from the airport to make the approach from the other side. Unfortunatly this was not such a good idea.

But the fun was awesome. I think flight dynamics and real weather went side by side today.

Reached 200 flying hours on my way to New York from Montreal. I was then rewarded with a CTD when the wheels hit the runway at Laguardia. Then another tour of New York.

During the few times when this sim actually works properly without some issue, it is really amazing.

En route from O’Hare to Tacoma and crossing fingers for CTD’s…
