What did you do in MSFS today? (Part 1)

just got the just flight piper turbo arrow III/IV and boy this is a challenge to land it smoothly, especially if you flew the islander and twin otter exclusively the last few weeks, which in comparison to this one almost land themselves

After work this afternoon, I took the Staggerwing out of Catalina up to John Wayne (KSNA). It was a lovely afternoon for a flight.

Had quite some time to fly today, so I visited Venice first:

However jets aren’t really the city tourer’s choice, so I rented something slower

Having admired the Doge’s palace and the pigeons, I countinued on to Rome to have an authentic cup of Italian coffee. During coffee time a local guy promised to show Vatican city a way I have never seen it and he was true to his word:

Though it was fun, it was time to move on, so I returned to the Albatross and thundered all the way to Athens, well almost, for “someone” haven’t checked fuel levels before takeoff and had to make a short stop to refuel.

As clouds were quite low I decided to fly on their sunny side:

By the time I arrived to Athens it was already dark, but after a go-around I managed to nail the landing on the second try.

Thanks, Pard!

Is that default Venice scenery?

Works without any problems.

Chain Low towers at Dover

Another supply drop to the crew at Royal Sovereign - scenery does not show on either LNM or Linker (it used to), but it’s there.
Royal Sussex Hospital helipad - someone could give some love to the building?

Solents and Portsmouth

Sandown airfield.

Cool cranes and docks now at Southampton…

Arrival at Portsmouth, with it’s unreal, long runway, but might be a challenge for fixed-wingers.

While on a community flight in Southern Chile, I flew in the largest formation flight I’ve been in thus far in MSFS.

I saw my first birds the other day. A trend among scenery designers that I hope picks up. Cheers!

I’d love to give it a try, but one stated that it does not work with ne “no toolbar” mod…and that one is really priceless to me. But thanks a lot for the info.
Happy flying !

I have dreamed of getting a Bravo for a year, and thankfully for this old person, someone paid attention and gifted me one for my Birthday! Cool having a friend who also likes flying. Kinda humbling. WAY too much of a gift.

Anyway, I knew it was good when my kitty copilot approved of the packaging.

Spent all day testing and configuring the default setup, as you need all buttons working BEFORE making a default template to setup configuration for simpler GA planes and more complex jets.

Absolutely stunning hardware. Hard to know for sure at this point as it is the shiny new piece in my collection, but the Bravo might be my favorite piece of peripheral hardware ever… for any sim. There really isn’t anything else like it. It keeps your hands off the mouse and keyboard. And it really does make the more complex, two engine prop planes feel bigger and more powerful. The slightest change in how it feels to control… but it feels right and now the planes feel properly big when I fly them compared to single engine GA craft.

Tonight, I might be able to configure for complex airliners.

Amazing how good hardware can bring a sim new life.

You really need a bigger monitor, tell the (grand)kids that they watch to much tv and use theirs. ;p

I have one, but COVID makes us rearrange our home offices frequently. And often enough, I have to relinquish it to my spouse for the day.

The MacBook is always available to use.

Besides, the photos are hilarious, that tiny laptop behind all that gear!
