What did you do in MSFS today? (Part 1)

Today i discovered VNAV in my 172 with the G1000NXi, followed with an ILS approach and a lovely landing at London City airport and a CTD :frowning:

Its getting so I can’t fly to London now, not happy.

The sun is out and fine weather so spending the weekend in Jersey (Channel Islands). So a quick flight from EGGD to EGJJ

This morning I was in Florence, Italy I decided to go sightseeing in the afternoon for Leonardo Da Vinci’s workshop which I found out was in Tuscany, which lucky for me for flying into Florence this morning as it really wasn’t too far away, I’m glad I went to Florence for this, now, so I got in my Velocity and went to it.

Ooo, wine!

Parked up, saw the view, got some bottles of wine, jumped back in my Velocity for Leonardo’s workshop.

I think this was it, either way, I was all about this building in Tuscany today.

Then on my way back to the airport, I decided to take a closer look at this thing, whatever it was, looked pretty interesting/famous.

and that other clocktower/thing, while I was there and all.

then I got back to the airport, Florence (FLR) LIRQ

to jet off to Rome to go sightseeing down there.
Now I decided I wanted to fly into Rome Ciampino (CIA) LIRA, so I took my private jet which was at Florence (FLR) LIPQ.

First time in Rome.
Ciampino airport was closer to what I wanted to see, so that paid off.
Took my Velocity out to do Rome.

Then I saw this on the way to The Vatican, looked fancy AF!..

So I went down to check it out.

Then I was off to The Vatican!..

Then it was off to Trevi Fountain!

“Trevi Fountain?”
Atleast, I think it was Trevi Fountain, whatever it was, it was wet and I landed in it. Then I was off again, out of that fountain…

and I saw something interesting down the street, so went and landed there…

Then I was done with Rome, flew back to Rome Ciampino (CIA) where my jet was, now, I knew I wanted to see Catania, in Sicily, and I was wondering if I’d be leaving Rome tonight to exit Italy…
Nonetheless, I got back to my private jet, flew from Rome Ciampino (CIA) LIRA and was on my way to Catania (CTA) LICC.

See ya Rome! You had many wonderful sights and cool things to see and I doubt I saw them all today…

First time in Catania, first time in Sicily…

Then I enjoyed the weather, had something to eat, thought about where my Catania Carmello parlour guitar was built, then decided I wanted to be back in London for Friday Night…
I flew back to Rome for this flight I booked (first class) with Aitalia AZ55 Rome (FCO) LIRF - London (LCY) EGLC so I flew up from Catania in my private jet to get it
Catania (CTA) LICC - Rome (FCO) LIRF

My first time at Rome (FCO) LIRF airport tonight…
Parked near the gate because I knew that would be close to my Aitalia flight.

This was taken just after take off.

Aitalia AZ55 Rome (FCO) LIRF - London (LCY) EGLC, another E-170 flying home for Friday Night in London, Baby!
I was lucky to find this flight going to City, I guess I wanted to fly commercial, otherwise I would have just took my private jet from Catania…
But this was me saying goodbye to Italy and heading back to the UK.

It’s been a fun couple of days Italy! From when I landed in Bologna after I went from Whitby, North Yorkshire to catch that British Airways flight 3752 from Teeside (MME) EGNV - Bologna (BLQ) LIPE to spending that night in Venice, enjoying my day there, going off to Milan to do some shopping, having dinner and sleep in Milan before shopping at Armani and Versace and Chanel and places, to going down to Pisa from that to see the Leaning Tower of Pisa to going off to Florence, spending that morning/afternoon there then going to Tuscany before Rome to do sightseeing to finishing off the day in Catania and then heading home via Rome (FCO) when I took off tonight from Rome, was fun, and I honestly never knew I would spend so long there when I was in Whitby and decided I wanted to have dinner in Bologna.
Venice was a real highlight of this trip for me, as was Tuscany, but it was all good, found a new airport in Milan I liked, found a new airport in Rome I liked too, was cool.

Feels good to be home.

So today this I where I went all in all.

I’m in London now in this game (and in real life), for Friday Night… I think I’m going to Tokyo tomorrow.

Thank you for telling me, these things are handy to know, it’s my first week on this (forum & game).
I’d bare that limit in mind in the future.

After having flown in to Jersey (Channel Islands) yesterday evening in the FBW A320, it was time to take a tour in my C172.

The weather unfortunately was not being kind with that typical Chanel Island fog and 20Kts of wind blowing in from the east.

Departed Jersey the on to Guernsey Alderney and back to Jersey.

This morning we took the Goose for a quick flight and practiced our Water landings.

After a very enjoyable experience in this wonderful rendition of a Classic Aircraft we walked the Pups
and then settled down with a Coffee and Jeremy’s Review of the Big Radials masterpiece.

I flew the Supermarine Spitfire from Beale AFB to Fallon NAS. I changed the time in the sim to have some lovely sun for the flight, but apparently, I overdid it a bit and ended up with an early evening landing at Fallon. Stunning scenery leaving California and heading into Nevada. Found some river canyon areas that look like they need a blasting from an F-14 or F-16 in the near future!

Well it wasn’t today - but yesterday… I discovered NC06 available in the marketplace and that was great because I had just purchased one of my favorite little airports - 2NC0 I think – The resort at the top of a mountain northeast of Ashville NC. So I bought it and set up a little flight with one of my weather themes and nearly bit the dust on landing as the winds were whipping over the top of the hill and causing a severe downdraft that I wasn’t prepared for… but I made it on the second try.
Both airfields are awesome.

I’m glad I didn’t wait until Saturday night to come back to London (though I’m totally staying in London for Saturday night, don’t get me wrong, am going out again this evening (in the game)…
I decided to get out my new toy I got in Burbank (KBUR) last week in California today, was great.

Ladies and Gentleman, Boys and Girls, let me introduce you to, Soho. Welcome to Old Compton Street, my patch of Old Compton Street to be precise, the corner of Frith Street and Old Compton Street.

Btw, love, love, LOVE that convenience shop there as pictured above, and I love how the game’s got it, signage and flags and all.
I could so easily set the above as my new profile picture on Xbox if I loved this game more, but, let’s continue… Frith Street, on this corner here.

Above you’ve got where that spinning disc TV was invented, some would argue, the first TV… You got Bar Italia (love this place), opposite you got this chain Cafe Nero, where all the police like to drink at, and next to that you’ve got this awesome Indian restaurant, and just next to that out of shot, Ronnie Scott’s.
Let me take you all to the otherside of Old Compton Street, to where my Xbox Profile snapshot was taken/This Forum’s avatar was taken, shall we?
… Let’s.

Then I decided to go to London’s Chinatown just over the road there, as I do.
Let’s go…

Then I wanted to go back up and come to Old Compton Street for Greek Street as Greek Street is… Next to Frith Street, but, it’s where I was based, where I put my LTD, and, 100 years ago, my maternal grandmother used to toll me, was where her mother’s family had a shop, so Greek Street and myself are connected like that…
I…
Crashed, I’m not mad at where I landed, I’m just mad at what way up I landed, which means I had to end there… I forgot this Wetherspoons has two entrances, an entrance on Greek Street, and an entrance on Charing Cross Road. In Chinatown, I wanted to go to Wetherspoons in this game and I instinctively just went to the Greek Street entrance, was a quick flight considering I knew where I was and I knew where I was going and I rushed there and it wasn’t far… Only…
I landed yards away… Upside down.
Now… I’m not even hating where I landed… Because that afforded me a 360 shot of my stomping grounds and accidentally captured my spiritual home… I just hated that, that was it, I was stuck there.

Old Compton Street/Greek Street.

Literally just yards away from the Wetherspoons up Greek Street to the left there, where I’ve landed used to be a Shisha Bar, now it’s a Chinese bao place, (those steamed buns), that’s where I landed.

That’s Miss Saigon that, the Prince Edward Theatre… That’s Miss Saigon, that’s between the last picture and the first picture, we just circled the block (if you count Shaftsbury Avenue running through it part of the block, Shaftsbury Avenue being that road I cross from Chinatown to Soho), and this marks the start of my part of Old Compton Street.

The memories. An horizon here embedded in my psyche.
This is on Greek Street.

I had my fun. I’m upside down, smiling here.

So yeah, glad I came back from Rome to go out Friday night, and by out, I do mean here…
In this game, I am 100% sure I’d want to be here for Saturday night too… I would have come back today if not yesterday, that’s how much I like Saturday night homecomings here (in real life)/(so why not in this game too, if I can, and I could), got that flight from Rome back to London just for Friday night, and Saturday night’s even better…

I’ve got a flight to Tokyo Sunday morning though, so, yeah, tonight, I’m still in my hometown, touching base with London.

I’m probably on Denmark Street guitar shopping or at the Wetherspoons or whatever until the nightlife begins.

Also, I’m a Jimi Hendrix fan, I took a snapshot of Dean Street where he and his band The Jimi Hendrix Experience recorded Purple Haze - I don’t know where exactly on Dean Street, but, I screenshotted Old Compton Street & Dean Street too today.
I took a picture of that junction too but feared I was pushing the limits…
That’s the other side of Frith Street to Greek Street, you’ve got me and my roots on Greek Street from the back of Orange Yard and Denmark Street… Frith Street, where TV comes from, and Dean Street, where Purple Haze was recorded… Then at the other end on Wardour Street, where I took that snapshot that became my Xbox Profile picture/this forum avatar.

hard business… all these tourists which like hippos
