I was flying the default 787 took off from Detroit and was in the middle of flying to Dublin Ireland and then the game froze 15 minutes after flying above Toronto Canada at 41,000 so i couldn’t complete my flight unfortunately I was using my Logitech autopilot on this flight

Today I flew a DG808 glider down the coast of North Devon. Used a strong wind to hit the ridges. Until I got to minehead where the cliffs stopped had to run back to chivnor with my tail between my legs.

I was just now trying to take the TBM from Paris to Bordeaux, but it CTDed about two thirds of the way through. :frowning:

So, my first effort at fire-fighting. Big Bear, CA.

Why is the water on fire toward the bottom of the pics there, that looks like someones campfire ;p

Rick wanted to fly to his summer cottage.

Rick is not impressed by this weather in the slightest way. He is one of the best modders from Resident Evil Nexus and he will bring Resident Evil 3 Nemesis on the same quality as Resi 2. This weather enlightens his creative flow!

Rick would not be that confident if he would know how incredible bad I am at handflying and especially landing, but I have not told him.

“Everything allright bud? Nervous? Don´t worry it´s just some rain, helping to cool down the glowing turbocharger!” (he does not know that we are already as good as dead as soon as I take off, because this is no Airbus and I don´t know how to IFR a GP-plane).

In this suitcase is the harddrive with a complete overhauled and not yet released Resident Evil 3, including cancelled locations like the clock tower and the wastewater processing facility. And there is no backup because this is Ricks PC, so arriving is an important task!

After some cheating (changing weather from visibility zero to something else) we here see the island where Ricks summer cottage awaits, because there is still one or two months of game development left and Rick does not want to be disturbed.

And the runway is in sight. Of course I botched the landing because the runway was too short and steep, but Rick is unharmed and his PC and data is allright too, and the plane well… the insurance company will take care of that.

Rick is now suing the pilot into financial oblivion following his dreadful landing.

vivid imagination. Ask Asobo.

Slightly overshot the parking lot at Diamond Head visitor center in Honolulu.

No because Rick has signed papers that I can fly Airbusses only, and death, mutilations, permanent loss of health limbs or organs, can and will occur when booking me for any other aircraft that is not either any Airbus in any weather, or a Cessna 152 on a cloudless sunny day with zero wind during daytime.

Today my guest is a very excentric horror author who wants a sightseeing flight over Lake E(e)rie during a thunderstorm in low airspace with an Airbus A320 BBJ from Cleveland Hopkins Intl (should be KCLE) to London (CYXU) with a manual waypoint over Buffalo GPS N42°56.66’ W78°44.08’.
This is a flight he needs to get inspired to write new horror novels about water and the ocean, and deserted boats and stuff like that.
After the landing he wants to visit some ghost towns and deserted industrial areas in Detroit, we will fly to Detroit the next day.

This is a training flight to see how well entering manual waypoints works in the Airbus MCDU, afterwards Scotland sightseeing flights based on Google Maps coordinates should be possible

lol, that’s a very flexible contract.

No pictures, but had a great time flying out of KAXH to the practice area in the Cessna 170. Did some stalls, steep turns, practiced slow flight. Was early evening so flew out to the coast and followed the coast back toward Galveston, then headed back to home base and landed at dusk… bounced the 170, so should have spent some time in the circuit, but will do so tomorrow.

Pretty much duplicating a flight when I was taking flight lessons IRL, except it was a 172. Very enjoyable.

Waiting  waiting waiting waiting for the great update today to arrive.

And deepening the skills of flying the Airbus.

Step 1: Adding a new cabin light because pure white is so YAAAWN boring and sterile looking.

Step 2: Dimming all the lights inside the cockpit until it feels PERFECT:

Height in meters feel somehow off… but on the other hand I like having all cockpit options and possibilities on and running, so not sure if I should disable this instrument or not. I mean why should an aircraft have an altimeter in meter?

Step 3: Messing around with the MCDU as learned in the newest cockpit tutorial videos.

I am really curious how well this plays out, and how good and accurate Flight Simulator 20 can handle real-world GPS coordinates, because if yes - the possibilities will now be ENDLESS yesss!!!
Finally no longer flying from EDDL to AMIGO to XAD12 to KAMIKAZE to EDDM or whatever (sorry I don´t know any real-world flightplan and real-world airport or airway codes so I had to invent some typical MCDU programming right now), but using my own coordinates and flying over really interesting scenery I check out before flying in SkyVector and Google Maps.

This will be EPIC if this works!

Flying over iconic movie locations, iconic city landmarks, and exactly the routes I want - instead of just getting some random route based on ten random waypoints

That´s a whole new world of IFR-flying airliners, why did no one told me before that custom GPS waypoints are possible! That´s so AWESOME and absolute perfect for flying BBJ.

I noticed that the GPS coordinate system in Google Maps is not as accurate as in Flight Sim 2020 and GPS coordinate websites:

Preplanning of the flight is now finished

The height of the London airport is 1640ft so the ILS approach should be flown in 4640 feet altitude to catch a 3° glideslope perfectly from below.

Arrived in Darwin Australia at the end of my trip from Bristol UK. 23 Hours total flight time in the TBM, pleased with that.

A post was merged into an existing topic: Discussion + Poll: Sim Update 10 (1.27.21.0)

Took the new regional manager at paper company Dunder Mifflin from Teterboro to Scranton to visit the local branch there.

Lake Wallenpaupack. Sounds like a good place for a booze cruise! Imagine naming a waypoint “COSBY” by the way…

The electric city!
