Flying from CYYZ to the Deer Lake Regional Airport (CYDF)
I can’t see that guy without thinking sweathogs. I do a lot of flying in Florida and I did not know his place was there so I think Ill try and find it
P.S.: thats a “Welcome Back Kotter” reference for any who didn’t understand ‘sweathog’
Love it
Would you say you were playing with yourself? :O). But seriously, I need to look into Skydolly so I can practice formation flying without having to find a real person…
Before you load up the sim…
Toured the north Scottish Islands around EKVG in the Cessna 195 I think I’m gonna use different ga aircraft to make it more fun
Did some circuits at LHPP with the NXCub and the DA62.
Couldn’t not notice that the G1000 changed a lot.
Is it only me, or was the old map more usable than this?
The old map? The one with no airspace information, compass or terrain relief? It was horrible and I’m glad its history in the G1000. I guess it’s still there in the G3X though?
The compass is a nice addition, but the terrain map seems less detailed. However I haven’t used it much yet, so these are just initial impressions.
We went to Crete IRL on the 18th and didn’t return until 29th so I couldn’t install the updates for the sim and marketplace BN-2 until I got back. I consoled myself with much Raki.
The update for the sim screwed my installation up, or so I thought. When opening the sim it would get stuck on the update screen. I decided to do a complete reinstallation, additionally I foolishly decided to do a complete reinstall of the OS. It didn’t go well initially but I finally got the OS sorted only to find the SSD I usually install the sim on had died…could this be the reason for the sim lock ups?
The PC shop is only two minutes down the road so I bought another 1tb ssd (goodness me they’re cheaper than I thought ).
After hours and hours of downloading I finally managed to complete my installation c/w my addon AC.
Today I finally got a proper flight through the valleys of the Alps…and it was good
The latest update has much improved performance on my machine…So smooth.
Crete IRL was also good. I like Raki.
I had 3 CTD’s. One in the Milviz 310 and two in the FSW 414. It’s so frustrating
I need to do that in the Corsair… my landings are in great need.
Flew from EKVG to EGPW in the Cessna 182
Tuned my control configuration in spad.next to make some more autopilot-related things available via my Honeycomb Bravo – I can now toggle the flight director, switch nav sources between GPS and NAV/VOR/LOC 1 & 2, and sync the heading bug with long presses on some of the buttons. Not the most exciting flight, but it was fun times with SimConnect.
