Evening flight Miami Exec to Nassau. Nassau is dark lol. Fortunately, with Jepp taxi plates it was easy to find my way to the Odessey FBO.

Did more Beta testing today !

I also flew around London in a Pitts Special-that plane is perfect for donuts and barrel rolls! (Let’s just say now I have crashed more Pitts Planes than I have F18s!)

Tomorrow, I have a flight from KATL-EGLL!

Finishing my PMDG 737 and Fenix virtual cockpit complete overhauls now fixing ALL visual glitches inside the cockpit, and checking through the liveries if some of these airbrush-like masterpieces of art need some updates too…

Pssssst better not wake them up because all YouTubers haven´t noticed yet that the Fenix already has two dozen SUPERB looking liveries that look like airbrush artist masterpieces (there is even some dirty Wizzair livery available that seems to come right from the eighties to your modern computer screen so don´t get dirty from all the weathering and oil smears on the turbine nacelles) - but all YouTubers still continue forever to fly the same boring 1-2 regional liveries in ALL the Fenix videos ever uploaded

Continued my American tour from Youngstown-Warren Rgnl (KYNG) to Chicago-O’Hare Intl (KORD). Started cold and dark, entered the flight plan on the garmin, asked for IFR clearance and alltogether tried to be as real as possible without using Vatsim.

On a side note, can anyone answer why am I both left and rigth from the GPS route? Happens quite often. According to the “needle in the compass” it is on my right, but on the GPS map it’s on my left.

Flew from Ottawa to where my old cottage used to be in the Laurentians of Quebec. Working on my amphibious Kodiak flying and landing skills. I still have issues taking off on water on with full flaps though. That said, just like the original wheeled version, i can see this one being one of my fav planes in my hangar.

Side note - does anyone know how to anchor or at least not float around as much?

Exploring the salomon islands on my tbm 930 world tour.

Here you can park your aircraft directly at your house, very comfortable.

Had originally planned to go further north to Alert airbase, but, its almost always in darkness and has no lights in the sim. Add a snow storm to that and I decided I’d save that trip for later.

I flew the BN2 from Tanquary Fiord Airport to Thule Air Base, 320nm. Unfortunately a nice headwind made the journey far longer than it should have, 3.5 hours later only to find dismal visibility. Hand flying it in, luckily the runway has lights which I could just make out. -5.11fpm, I’ll take it in that weather!

Forgive the approach, I actually had to “find” the runway first!

Next trip I am going to take Black Square’s Analog King Air to Svalbard Airport in Norway, leaving BGTL (Thule), just off the east coast of Greenland.

I did my cross Canada journey this past spring, flying the C150 from Tofino BC to Dryden ON before I traded it out for a Piper Arrow. I flew that thru ON and QC to Gaspe and upgraded again to a Piper Seminole for the rest of my trip. My biggest challenge was keeping the frost off the widdshield in the 150, haha! Was super fun! Bon voyage and happy landings!

Downloaded SU11 beta yesterday to see if it addressed the missing instrument approaches at various airports. Good news is that the ones I have looked at are working again. That said, there were some new issues that I discovered in SU11 (things that worked in SU10 but are quite buggy in SU11).

Flew from CYYC to CYVR for my first examination of SU11 on the XBOX. Great to have ILS and RNAV approaches for CYVR RWY 26L and R again, but the ATC window was work (no sound, couldn’t use mouse to make selections) and the controller curser would always default to mouse cursor location (which selected a variety of unintended items in the cockpit during the flight, haha!).

Drought conditions in Western Canada this summer and fall have provided water restrictions, brown lawns and forest fires, but awesome cloudless skies and great sunsets.

Some pix

Leaving CYYC

Cruising over the Rockies

Chasing the sunset

Descending towards CYVR

Getting lined up (Vancouver Island on the horizon)

ILS RWY 26L (good to have the approach back in SU11)

Now I’m off to mark up some pix and submit them to the Beta feedback..
