What did you do in MSFS today? (Part 1)

SCCI Punta Arenas - SAVH Las Heras in Argentina.

Nice 2h flight with the TBM930, strong sidewind at around 50kts for the first hour.

Had to land without any flaps and throttle issues but the wind was on my side with 20kts headwind. So I bring all safely down.

Very interesting landscapes again.

Exact same thing happened to me. I thought the game was broken until l I saw all the ice.

Fifth leg of France Bush Trip. Landing at the alpine airport was a doozy.

Today‘s i did fly: MMCH - MMAA / MMAA - MMZH / MMZH - MM35 / MM35 - MMPO / MMPO - MMGA (the Birthplace of Nazario Moreno González - Leader of the La Familia Michoacana Cartel) / MMGA - MMIA / MMIA - MMEX / MMEX - MMAI. The many short Flights are much more demanding than the 1600nm trips i did fly on my first World Tour. Especially because i use a lot of small Airfields in difficult Terrain.

Bit ofsightseeing over a stormy New York today

The next one was even harder. Crashed! Twice so far…stay tuned this might take awhile. :japanese_goblin:

Anybody can turn knobs and press buttons!

Did some more reading up on the Working Title CJ4, and was able to import a flight plan and take a short IFR trip in it for the first time, Honolulu to Lihue. Still a lot of finer points to learn, but it feels really good getting this far with it.

Why did no one tell me about this before

Stepping up my game with the Fly By Wire A320. A whole lot to learn and a new way of thinking after flying the PMDG 737 in FSX for so long…and this is free!! :star_struck:

You know, the runway is right over there. You missed it by 200 feet. Can I have my ball back, please?

Took a helicopter ride around the beautiful Philippines Archipelago. I’m using Bijan’s 4-Season Pack for added palm tree goodness. Wonderful.

Have just rounded the southern tip of South America. I’m doing a circuit of the continent. Began in Panama, continued down the western shorline and am now heading north on the east side. I typically choose 100 - 200 mile legs and use different aircraft (nothing above a Citation) depending on the available airports.

Flight back to LA, thinking of excuses to tell the wife why I’ve lost so much money gambling in Vegas.

Took a wrong turn at Charles De Gaulle airport and ended up with the big boys…

Took a detour today, flew from Ventspils to Gotland, touched down in Visby.
This AI pilot though. That dude is terrible with approaches, almost steered me into the ground again, had to take over and save the plane to land safely.
Other than following the course in a straight line, he is a 50/50 chance of ending up on a Mayday Episode.

Hopefully it buffs out…Made the landing, couldn’t stop in time…

welcome to the FBW club… so much fun.

I found this yesterday and am finding it VERY helpful to clean up my procedures

I also can not recommend simbrief enough… I was doing all that manually. It doesn’t matter really until you gt to the FBW and the reality steps up!

I dunno if you are advanced already, but I found this guys channel really helpful, especially with the FMC programming https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCAILTiWNai7Y2zsO8ECFxcA

Wow… the boys and girls over at FBW have done a spectacular job, as have the team at SIMBRIEF… the other topic of my post.

Deciding to scrutinise the part of the SIMBRIEF flightplan that I normally skim, to get into good habits and add yet another dimension of the sim experrience, I noted a few AMAZING moments in time captured in a single FP

RESTRICTED AREA (TEMPORARY). BY REASON OF THE NATIONAL MOURNING

  • anyone care to tellm e how anythign can dpeart/arrive fromt eh west… just 6km from Windsor???
It is also interesting ot note, the position was poorly formatted and hard to search… while other countries had relative position to the airport. Surely that is a safety issue

RADIO FREQUENCY JAMMING. JAMMERS LOCATED WITHIN 5NM RADIUS
POSITION 512902N 0003615W ACTIVITY MAY AFFECT AIRCRAFT AND UAV
WITHIN 1.2NM OF JAMMER LOCATION(ALL DIRECTIONS) (868 MHZ, 2.4 GHZ,

so… 6km from one of the busiest airports in the world, under the final approach and you might lose nav data. That seems safe!

you don’t always see such significant directives…

So I have a script for my next flight apparently… lots and lots of covid stuff, but again, an interesting snapshot in time, plus a list of banned countries for entry to UK etc

COVID-19: THE FOLLOWING ON-BOARD MESSAGE MUST BE DELIVERED BY ALL

what did I do today? A hellvua lot I don’t normally do!!! Maybe I am just weird, appreciate history and it’s ‘moments’ and still wrapping my head around how good and close to real this sim is, but so far as memorable flightplans go… I am keeping this one! It’s gonna trigger a lot of memories in 20 years when I stumble over it again

pics included cause walls of text is boring…
