Sometimes this sim reminds me of just how far we have come in computer science, and this is with a modest GTX1660S and i59400K! …
Doing a delivery flight for Star Alliance Virtual, UA9707 From Fort Lauderdale to Indianapolis during the night.
Not much good can be said about this plane, but delivery flights give Double-pay haha
Continuing the round-the-world tour: Lucknow (VILK) to Tribhuvan Intl (VNKT) in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal and situated at the foot of the Himalayas.
The hazy weather meant that most of the mountains were obscured as we came in to land.
Forgot to post yesterday, but this is what I saw when I landed at Saglek (Northern Canada): a land shark!
Got it, thanks
Emirates has 747?
They LOVE super-jumbo’s.
There are some interesting articles on YouTube about Emirates and why they only fly gargantuan aircraft.
If the Antonov AN-225 was a passenger plane, Emirates would buy it.
Trivia question:
If gigantic aircraft are called “heavy”, and truly gargantuan aircraft like the A-380 are styled as “super”, what would something as massive as an AN-225 be? “herculean”?
I looked into making liveries for the 208 Grand Caravan. Fictional liveries, with custom tail numbers.
I’ve decided to do a 7 leg golfing vacation from the top of New Zealand to Queenstown visiting several WU12 airports and a couple of really scenic autogen airports.
Full route is NZWR NZRO NZWN NZNS NZWS NZHK NZMF NZQN. I’m flying in the Cirrus Vision Jet because NZ is such a pretty country you need the best view money can buy. NZ is also a lot bigger than it looks on a map and so the speed of the jet is essential for completing this trip over the Easter weekend.
First leg NZWR Whangarei via AA over Auckland to NZRO Rotorua. Golf clubs safely stowed in the luggage compartment.
Parked up with Lake Rotorua in the background.
Second leg NZRO via AP over Taupo to NZWN Wellington.
Shots of Lake Taupo and Mount Ruapehu there. I flew around the volcano below its peak. Looks amazing, I’ll go back with something slower for a better look.
Third leg on my NZ route, NZWN Wellington via DUGUP over Able Tasman National Park to NZNS Nelson.
Fourth leg from NZNS via CONOR straight over the mountains to NZWS Westport. I cruised at 8,000ft over the ranges, higher than any of the other legs so far and enough to clear the peaks.
Off now to the Westport Golf Club to tee off and enjoy the sunset!
