After two failed Gatwick - Keflavik A32NX flights that resulted to CTD’s about 200 miles out, I managed to perform a successful local WLG-AKL sector in the A32NX this arvo.
I remember a bug with Keflavik that was fixed back in April 2022. Is anyone else having similar issues? I’m using the MK Studios BIKF scenery which shows as fully updates in the Content Manager…
Flew from Ithica regional to Cleavland Hopkins International Airport in the Airbus a310, was exploring the idea of hq2 (Charlotte NC) but it didn’t really offer an ideal flight operation location for short cross country flights so HQ3 might be a better option plus HQ3 has a super high chance of becoming my future IRL home airport if things go that way
LHSM seems just like it did before the world update, but LHPP is just awesome. Instead of a generic nothing it is exactly like in real life. I have fond memories of that hangar in the back..
Today, in MSFS, I discovered that I unintentionally lied in my previous post where I said how great Budapest looked – as if I knew … I was actually at Prague. But today I went and did some flying in the actual Budapest and I can now understand complaints about what appears to be a section missing – but at least there are several airports in the coverage and its pretty good. In other news, Dubrovnik is pretty cool in PG. and I wish the A2A Commanche was available on XBox.
Coongulla is just down the road from my rural farm. I havent flown for years now but was thinking of flying from where i am into this airfield for the hell of it. I was looking up data on the airfield and your post came up as one of the first few results on Google!
After finishing France bush-trip I started Grand Alpine challenge in WB-Sim C172 in real weather: LFHM LSGP LSGB LSGS
Weather was nice. Few clouds, little wind, until I reached lake Geneva, there it was windy. The area around the lake is beautiful. There was quite some traffic at Geneva airport, so I had to fly low to avoid it.
WTH there are trees just in front of the runway. Because of them I couldn’t touchdown at the start of the runway. So instead of touch-n-go I did full stop, back-taxied and took off.
And LSGS airport seemed to be cursed. I checked ATIS, wind was from east and active runway was 07. I contacted tower, wind was from west and active runway was 23. Hey, there is no runway 23, there is 25. I was asked to join right traffic. Hey there are hills on right downwind 23. So I had to fly pattern higher. And when passed runway threshold on downwind, I didn’t get clearance to land. I guess, the controller didn’t have morning coffee. So I landed anyway. And in the end ATC didn’t complain. It asked me to contact ground.
I wanted to continue in the afternoon, but there was heavy rain and no visibility at Sion airport.
