Nice pictures, also because of the World update for the Balkans
Hello Virtual-Pilots,
it’s been a while since my last post #2945 here and I decided to make some changes.
I decided to move my VR flying back to the US, mainly because you just notice MSFS is meant to be flown in the States.
For example: the altimeter setting is in “inHg”, the amount of photogrammetry and Add-Ons is so much denser there and the Live Weather depiction on the South Island of New Zealand was pretty poor with snow covered mountain area any time of the year.
I also changed the airplane and so I had to make a new Checklist with influences from the real POH, some videos on YouTube and the Checklist provided with the Add-On plane.
I had to reorganize/ rebuild my home cockpit and I’m now familiarized with the plane and the procedures and ready to share my experiences with you.
I give you two hints (pictures) what I’m talking about, and you can guess.
Where is my new home base?
What am I flying from now on?
Leg 26 of my trip around Pacific in DC-3 in real weather. I reached time zone, when I can fly mornings in west coast of America (my evenings). So I can fly shorter, but more legs before I go to sleep.
Today I took off together with sunrise.

Weather was nice. No clouds, little wind. Just autopilot didn’t work. Like it didn’t capture heading, just turned left constantly. So I had to fly it manually.
At first the sunrise was nice. My heading was exactly towards the sun. But then I got over the ocean and I couldn’t see anything against the sun.
Took the P-40F up for a 30 min flight around Wright-Patterson AFB. Checked out the USAF Museum from the air (what a difference photogrammetry makes) and after a touch and go at the base I landed safely at Dayton International.
Still in flight, but doing an easyjet opps from dubrovnik to gatwick. Lots of planes in the air this evening above the adriatic sea
Bush Flying in Idaho (KMYL to 3U2 to 0U3) …
… and Utah (42MM to 42CM) …
collecting some shots for this week’s Screenshot Challenge.
Etape 2 of the Tour de France Femmes. Claremont-Ferrand to Mauriac. Sim opened with an intimidating heavy rain which soon moved on. Wonder if anyone can make some TDF scenery - cyclists, crowds, staff and TV teams/vehicles.
Legdale NY to Buffalo International Airport in the CJ4 to report to a flight into the finger lakes to catch a flight to my new HQ3
Crj 700 from Buffalo international to Ithica regional Airport to get to HQ3
The new WU14 scenery makes me want to get up close and personal with it. My first trip was down to Brno and the second was to Ljubljana.
and then later to Ljubljana with fake weather
The last southward leg of my South America portion of my world tour was from La Serena, Chile to Vina Del Mar, Chile. My next segment turns east to head through Santiago and into Brazil before turning north again.
Decided to fly that with my newest addition to my hangar, the Cessna 195. Beautiful flight with an equally beautiful plane.
I finished France bushtrip in WB-Sim C172 in real weather. The last leg was LFLJ LFHM
No clouds, but it was windy in the mountains, so the ride was bumpy. I overflew the airport 2 times to check the wind and how it feels to fly in the valley. Because there is no option to go-around, I rather wanted to be safe. And when I descended to 300ft AGL the wind got calm and I did smooth landing.
The only bummer was that MSFS rendered snow in that area. It’s middle of summer with 22°C at 1400m altitude. There is definitely no snow there.
And I found out that I can directly continue Grand Alpine trip. I checked forecast and there is some bad weather coming on weekend. But afterwards I can just continue from Megeve.
today finished my Africa tour including part of middle east using the King air
few pics from last few days in Morocco then Algeria
next part of my day took part in another continent, continuing my US Lidl tour, with a sunrise above Florida, heading to Alabama
My day isn’t finished yet, maybe will add a little WB C172 flight I guess, depending on available assigments
Add the 10th pic IFR fly above germany
