Nice! My relatives in LA had that clear weather for IRL viewing too. ![]()
I watched it on the Griffith Observatory site, better for my eyes. It sure sure got darker noticeably.
Hahahah! That’s so cool, I can’t believe I never thought to do that!
Riviera 333 from Kenmore S60 to Lake Sammamish for touch and go’s then back to Kenmore.
Just reaching Sammamish.
Some nice photogrammetry houses.
Amphib landing at the south end of Lake Sammamish. Taxiing back into the water was extremely fun too!
Docked at Kenmore, the anchor feature is great for keeping you in place wherever you want to moor.
The AI characters were kind enough to help me get lined up on the dock.
Ready for another go!
Happy flying!!
Early evening flight Bournemouth UK to Tille FR. Great ATC synchronization - TODs matched up and controller even sent me briefly up to 9,000’ to meet MEA on the airway, then routed me back down to my planned cruise altitude. It was awesome having charts inside the cockpit. I didn’t need to step out of it once.
Tille was socked in, didn’t get the rabbit light breakouts until a little under 4NM - beautiful approach even though I overshot the Transition waypoint. The NXi handled it all very matter-of-fact and brought me down safely. Disconnected at 500’ and bounced just a little.
Leaving sunny California for SEATAC. ILS16L. Full airbrakes all the way down. This gal does not like to bleed speed. ![]()
Beautiful aircraft. And the struts will fully compress! Check complete.
No butter this time unless you mean frozen butter.
A quick Sunday morning flight in the Longitude from Budapest Liszt Ferenc International (LHBP) to Munchen Franz Josef Strauss (EDDM)
It was a really nice trip, I had ATC all the way. I love it when I don’t need to go unicom on vatsim ![]()
Full video later here:
Not quite sure it counts… But I was standing in my front yard and I hear the UNMISTAKABLE sound of the big ol’ radial engine of the DeHavilland Beaver.
Trick is, I’d only ever HEARD a Beaver in FSX.
But there she was… on FLOATS, no less! ![]()
I suppose “I had a flashback” in MSFS today.
Today I flew the new Nardi Riviera around the beautiful Scilly Islands, exploring a few of the islands and lighthouses. The Riviera is quite enjoyable to fly and is perfect for low level sightseeing tours.
More fun in the Nardi Riviera FN-333, between Kenmore and Lake Sammamish, with a jaunt south to Enumclaw.
I call this segment “between two lakes”.
Just a little amphibious fun at Kenmore! How convenient.
Back into the water, immediately!!!
A beautiful place to fly in any reality.
The amphibious capability is really versatile!
Made it back with the TBM 930 to Mount Etna, where I arrived with the FK-9 after coming from Belgium and crossing the Alps with it. Then I left with the Piper Turbo Arrow III towards Tenerife to pick up this TBM 930.
Next up, probably one hop before going to the Greek Islands.
I received a “Visual Approach” and was told to “expect vectors”. But those vectors apparently don’t come. Once I got myself flying towards the runway ATC picked it up and further cleared me. It did assign a correct altitude, but then just let me fly down-wind forever. So lost some time there.
Sadly, simair seems broken! Hope it is temporary was really handy.
Leaving the African continent behind for now as I’m leaving Tunis:
An old friend, Mount Etna
Visual Approach, wanted to see what it does if I don’t fly to the Airport myself. It’ll just let you fly along.
Here we are, back in Europe.
Hmm.. maybe we were flying in same area around the same time. I was arriving to southern part of Italy, next to Sicily, and I could hear Ryanair on the radio too.
I finished The Apennines bush-trip in WB-Sim C172: LIGT
LISG
LICR
I didn’t realize Mt Etna can be seen from far away.
This is actually downwind rw33
Quick trip over the weekend…
RPLC-RJTT, to well done freeware airports. Another scenic flight, though Fuji-san eluded clear view.
