What did you do in MSFS today? (Part 2)

After setting off from Birmingham (EGBB) 10 days ago, my World Tour flight in the Hanger Studio’s 713 Camair 480 Twin has reached Mangaluru Int’ (VOML), almost at the southern tip of India.
Distance flown so far is 8,898 miles in 46 hours (not including on route fuel stops).

Note: LNM route only shows airports that I’ve flown over and stopped at for fuel.

Very smooth flight from Dublin to Paris le Bourget. Real time and weather, and some new aircraft lights. (if they are better?,…i dont know)

Another leg in the Megalpolis bush trip:

BOeINNNNNNNNNNNG!

Upon landing I could have said to FAA that I was doing a CDA, but I’m not sure they would have accepted that as an explanation, as I simply pulled thrust to idle at cruising altitude (4500’) then kept the nose level until speed dropped below 100kn, released the gears, flaps full and dive. Haven’t touched throttle at all, managed to land not particularly smooth, but not bad either.

TBM 930 from LICR to LIBN

Oh man, the “Load Saved Game” crashes a lot when using the TBM 930. I tried it yesterday it was fine. Today I load the saved game and it crashes immediatly.

But now I start a new flight from that location and THEN load the saved file, and it didn’t crash. So there is that!

But then, as I departed and the fun began, it crashed nonetheless :frowning:

I guess with the TBM it’s safer to skip loading saved flights completely. Too much stress.

While I was flying, I also signed up to try Volanta, now that simair is out (see: SimAir.io Alternative - #4 by gcs7e74205). I hope it allows to share the flight here, but I’m not sure yet. It didn’t track this one anyway because I think the sim was started already.

Always a good idea to fly around Italy

Somewhat high …

Short buzz around London, watching too much MI-5. Seems there are two worthy London Heliports, so I have to remember to deactivate one for a flight. Otherwise, the absence of ORBX London is not an issue now, eh, Asobo? Also, I learned that UK2000 EGLC has quite correct parking and layout. So long, ORBX.

Your amateurish is my “I wish I could do that!” :+1:

Always appreciate you populating the West Coast with ‘amateurish’, and cool, airports! Is there a Dr Pepper machine?

Thank you!

LOL !! Believe or not, but I was ready to put one vending machine just to make as a Signature  You win, I’ll put one as a Eastern Egg in Bowerman as in Oceano (L52)

and with that line of thirsty Thursday folks - tee hee. After a long flight and I have to wait for him to make up his mind. Cheers!

Good entry and line-up into KUUU. Runway 22 is always “fun” because of the tree obstacles, but I needed just a touch of power before the threshold.

From someone who has tried them all in every flight sim, this is seriously the best feeling road vehicle.
Jumped right in the 500HP version and boy is it quick!:face_with_tongue:
The controls are genius and the visuals are amazing, this is certainly the new standard for road vehicles in MSFS. Gives a totally new appreciation for the sim’s gigantic world size and scale in VR especially.

Drinking in LA as I only see it daily on the ground. Helo pads working, the 125 is a cooperative machine even with no AP, and airports (free and pay) working fine. In fact, smooth as butter. A far cry from the FPS losses of FSX/P3D which made LA, London, NY, just miserable to fly in. Thanks, Asobo and creators.

Flying over Seattle on my way from Orcas Island down to Portland.

The next leg was Portland down to Eugene but no screenshots from that flight. Today I crossed into California with a flight out of Eugene and down to Weed, just West of Mt Shasta. I usually fly with Live Weather but I’m enjoying the RexAccuseason Advanced presets at the moment; this screenshot shows ‘Divine Snow Scape’ on the journey towards Weed, albeit with a lazy cockpit view

Last full leg in Mexico on my tour around Pacific in DC-3 in real weather: MMBT :airplane: MMTP

I had a little bit of headwind, but it was still good. The wind was from the east and all the clouds got stopped by the mountains. So I had clear sky.

And of course there was haze in the destination. I was hoping it would dissolve, until I would get there.

Luckily I found the important visual cue. At the lake turn 050° and I was well align with the runway.

Next legs will be in those smaller countries of central America.
