What did you do in MSFS today? (Part 2)

This is fast becoming my favourite thread on the forums right now! I love seeing all the variety of flights you’re all enjoying. I checked out the new iniBuilds A300 PW engine update yesterday with some DHL ops between Vitoria and Seville in Spain.

One more flight for the week, then it’s off to work again! We toured some interesting sites around Fort Collins, Colorado today in a tricycle Rans. You can read about it at Pee-Wee and Nag’s Skytours (and Other Thoughts).

Pee-Wee’s favorite “Lego airplane.”

Passing over an airport that sometimes masqueraded as a seaplane base.

Circling a highly secure radio facility that uses atoms to control the time.

Flying over the hangars where a company that once manufactured welders resurrected a legendary airplane type.

A bit of flat-hatting at Nassau. Nothing like seeing eyeballs at cruise ship bridge level and the middle floors of the Atlantis Resort.

Today the flight back from the Outer to the Inner Hebrides was on the schedule. Due to the terrible wind conditions for a Tanarg 912, the flight was more challenging than the screenshots suggest.

Here you go:

A small but amazing little airport. You’ll also need a few add-ons for it (which are used by other custom airports).

A short flight today with live weather & traffic: Turinsky Airstrip (AK14) to Hardee Field (1AK7).
Turinsky Airstrip is on the western side of the Knik Arm of Cook Inlet, about 9 miles from downtown Anchorage:

After stops at Merrill Field (PAMR) & Sky Harbor (9AK5), headed east into Chugach State Park:

Flying between Hurdygurdy Mtn. and Hermann Buhl Point. Weather is not looking too good. Luckily, Hardee Field is only about 5 NM away.

Hardee Field is a grass strip, somewhere down there, under the snow…

Ah, there it is, but I’m a bit too high & to fast…

A quick turn to the downwind leg:

Ok, on final this time:

A scenic spot. Sorta chilly at this time of year. Maybe I’ll come back in July!

Flew the Chinook from Atsugi to two pads, JGSDF Camp Fuji, and the summit of Fuji-san. A nice flyer.
