…APLv2 flight, breaking through clouds over SBGL.
I had my second flight using BeyondATC today, from New York Teterboro (KTEB) - Washington Dulles (KIAD) in the Longitude.
It went leaps and bounds better than my initial test flight from an untowered airport, this time everyhing was working fine, though BATC currently can not process a request to a different approach than assigned, which is fine for an early acces version, still I’d rather had the instrument approach for an unkown airport over the visual one. However having understood that it is still in early access, it is acceptable and waaaaaay better than flying silent. If BeyondATC will keep on updating as promised, I think it will be the best spent 30USD this year.
Full flight:
I made a flight from bilbao to madrid in Duke
also farmed few assignments in king air around LFLL (Lyon)
I could not resist to re visit Londen photogrammetry again
and yes there is melting photogrammetry, but if it is good it is lovely realistic.
I took the piston duke from florida to cuba
near the bahamas
I m supposed to find an airfield nearby (MUOC) … got a ndb but no clean runway …
ended by landing on the road …
Quick scoot from Burbank to the Channel Islands. I wanted to check out some new bridges in DTLA which were nice to see, but then came the arrival at the little ranch strip on Santa Cruz Island, which suggests to me that this mod needs some updating.
Where’s that?
GJT > PHX. Great route. KGJT is a fun little airport to fly out of. MapQuest took me on a crazy route though. Always fun to fly into Sky Harbor.
flew from YGEL to YCAR in C208
unfortunately I have been surprise by too high tree near the runway damaging my landing gear …
will have to redo this flight tomorrow and stop being in a hurry
Death Valley National Park. south of Furnace Creek. about halfway between KHND Henderson Nevada and Bakersfield California.
heres some more shots:(Yuma to KHND then KHND westward)
I came into the Vegas area too far west:
heading west out of KHND Henderson near Las Vegas
Flew to DFW and I did my smoothest landing ever in an Airbus A320neo! Though I don’t have an fpm reader, I estimate it to be around 90 fpm to 150 fpm.
Really smooth flight from LFBD to LFMN aboard the B737-600. Beautiful arrival in Nice.
Highlights of my trip:
Pre-flew my upcoming flight to KCHA. Discovered and used the “Procedure>Pattern” option in ForeFlight.
*ownship not for navigation
EDIT: received runway 02, and inserted the 45 in ForeFlight as practiced! To quote the Col. John “Hannibal” Smith…
