Took the Cirrus Vision Jet for a ride from Budapest Liszt Ferenc (LHBP) to Split Kastela (LDSP) using BeyondATC:
I’m still pretty impressed by BeyondATC, I know it has some limitations, even met some of them on this flight still, way better than flying alone on vatsim unicom or even completely offline.

Some more IFR practice in the Piper. Wasn’t too bad except I sort of messed the landing up a bit (quite strong crosswind). It gets so hands on with no VS hold or NAV hold that it’s easy to forget things. One day I’ll get a perfect IFR flight in on this thing haha.

Leg 20 of my tour around Atlantic in TBM-930 in real weather: CYYR CYFB
It was cloudy and raining at departure, real IMC. Standard departure was easy, just keep heading 075 and climb to 6000. Also wind was aligned with 08 with ILS, so in case of emergency I could still land back in CYYR.
I broke out of clouds only before reaching cruise altitude 31000. So deicing and inertia separator on whole climb.
And after about 100nm cloud layer got smaller and I could see frozen ground. Otherwise the flight was calm, so I finally read G3000 manual.
Approach to Iqaluit was straight forward. I planned ILS-Z 08 via BILKU so I got it assigned. And I descended perfectly to fix point. And just after capturing localizer and glideslope I lost GPS signal. Not surprised in this latitude. So it was good ILS worked, because RNAV wouldn’t be possible. Also cloud layer was just above the approach, so I had visual on full approach.
Let’s see how lucky I will be with GPS signal on my next leg to Greenland.

Seeing how my last flight took me to San Diego and I know anytime today or tomorrow the Friday Fly In flight will be announced, I thought I would man the hypersonic jet and go from San Diego to Oran, Algeria, so I can be ready.
Coming down from the stratosphere was interesting, good thing I didn’t have to feel all that, I think it would have made me

PHX>SAN Beautiful rendering on this haze layer coming into San Diego. It was really tough making out the runway coming in on the RNAV27. once again. Great flight with BATC. Feels like they’re making great progress working out the kinks. It’s really great. Even if I forget my callsign a little too often.

Took the Albatros on a SU15 test flight and to see the G3X Touch changes, except I didn’t see them, the G3X in this aircraft is exactly the same as it was before:
As a sanity check I hopped in the NX Cub as it has G3X too, luckily it did have an updated version of it. In a ways it’s a shame, I love the Albatros and for 10$ it was really well worth it, but seems like the sim is moving on without it.
