Did a little zippin around in the FA/18, CFB Trenton
Oh! Yes, sorry about that. Yes, it seems to work OK, but there is one small area where the textures don’t come through.
… was amazed by the texture quality of the Carenado PA28-181 with MSFS2024. Here in short final 28R at San Diego Montgomery Field (KMYF).

I continued the World Tour today, heading from Victoria Falls to Kariba International, both in Zimbabwe. I also picked up a new plane for my hangar: the SWS PC-12. I have enjoyed the Carenado version, but looking at the recent update of the SWS iteration, that one seemed to fit my tastes and goals just a bit better. The cockpit is a bit older, but still has GPS if I want to use it, and it has a few points that are similar to my beloved TBM 850 which works some days and others still has livery issues (to be fair, the TBM always works in terms of systems, but the livery issue drives me crazy, so I guess I’ll just have to let it rest until the official version for 2024 is released).
All that said, I really enjoyed my first flight in the SWS PC-12, and I can see it becoming one of my top ten. We had a beautiful morning to head over Lake Kariba on VFR and everything ran quite smoothly.
On another note, this was leg 60 of my World Tour! Started last July in Sacramento, CA, USA, I am now in Africa and starting to head my way north towards Mt. Kilimanjaro. From there, I will gonortheast toward the Indian subcontinent and the Himalayas. Then, of course, across the rest of Asia, and up and over to Alaska and down the coast back down to California. With a little luck, I will be back in Sacramento by this summer.
So far throughout the trip, I have flown mostly the TBM 850 and the PC-12, with local sight seeing at a few points in the Kodiak, totaling 24,304 NM, just over 101 flight hours, with an average ground speed of 240 knots. I started in MSFS 2020 and transitioned to 2024 in November with relatively few hiccups, so I suppose I’m one of the fortunate ones.
Overall, it’s been a fun ride! I am looking forward to what the rest of Africa, the Middle East, and Asia have to offer.
Firstly I fall in love with Carenado, secondly I buy my first ever Captain Sim purchase sight unseen for msfs2020 and stick it in msfs2024 (How can you not, the Heinkel is gorgeous).
AM I OK?
A few touch & goes, then had a look at Idstein Germany, then landed at EDYF in the BF109-G6
And then finally, nailing the landing -11fpm & 0.9G’s

MSFS2020. HYPE H-160. Been following the old U.S. Airmail route across the country. Started at Newark, NJ. Now at Salt Lake City. Keeping each flight about 200 miles. Final destination San Diego via San Francisco
My first flight in nearly 2 months, and potentially my last for quite a while with the pending arrival of a newborn in the near future! Madrid Barajas down to La Palma in the Canaries as Vueling 1535. MSFS 2020 looking as good as ever!
I think I miiiight have overdone the braking upon landing, opting for a light tailwind on runway 36 to allow the automatics to fly me in on the RNP Z approach rather than circling off the RNP A from the north.
With a tree in your bedroom!
Might do a second flight, also decided to redownload msfs-2020
I don’t know if it’s my bad timing or the game but I’ve been finding it (2024) choppy randomly.
