Picked up a little ice threading through the mountains so had to descend as I crossed to the North East coast I had to duck beneath the lowering cloud deck.
The west coast of the emerald island at evening sun really is something else and the Cows DA40-XLS is a match made in heaven for that.
It doesn’t get more cozy and atmospheric. I love my Kodiak, but this one here is the best thing I’ve ever experienced in MSFS. The latest updates made it pretty much perfect now.
2020, Lagos to Accra. First time - in four years - in this region. Dunno what happened - update maybe - but the airport was raised higher than the surrounding modded terrain. Hope the freeware creator fixes up the scenery? Anywho, this was the best flight in the F28, everything worked (more like I finally did everything right).
Double flight day, but both are flying in MSFS 2024 first flight is I did the next leg of the world tour:
World Tour Stage 35: Stockholm to Helsinki
Flew Around Easter Island:
Then I decided to fly around Easter Island in MSFS 2024 since I did it yesterday in MSFS 2020
You notice anything strange? the Moai’s are missing in MSFS 2024. At first I thought maybe I didn’t let things load enough because normally on the main screen I wait until my pilot’s picture is loaded in the career mode window to show me the game is ready to go. So I exited out of the game and went back into it, waited for my pilot’s picture to show up and flew to the closest set of Moai’s from the runway (this I didn’t record) and still didn’t show up. Not sure if the team knows about this or not but someone may want to mention it.
Since I’m feeling bored I decided to take the two easter island flights and put them on the same screen so you can compare the games… For those wondering about my fancy editing techniques… I used Clipchamp it’s free in the microsoft app store.
For leg 26 of my South America Tour, currently in Brazil, I met with my local friend João.
He owns a DA40-XLS which I love and so I urged him to swap planes for our planned group flight.
We left Parque Nacional dos Lençóis at the very northern coast, aiming for Juazeiro do Norte that lies deeper south into the country side.
There we visited the Statue of Cícero Romão Batista, better known as Padre Cícero, who was declared a Saint. Every November a pilgrimage to this statue takes place in his honour, attracting hundreds of thousands of followers.
Estátua do Padre Cícero na colina do Horto - Horto, Juazeiro do Norte:
On the latest legs 27/28 of my South America Kodiak Tour, currently in Brazil, I was heading back to the northern coast line - but this time more to the east - after a long flight through the inner country side and visiting Padre Cícero.
WU19 POIs: Calcanhar Lighthouse, Fernando de Noronha Airport (SBFN)
Deep into the inner parts of the north eastern country side:
When I finally hit the coast near Touros I passed by the lovely Calcanhar Lighthouse before leaving the main land behind me. Slowly but surely the sun was sinking as sunset was about to begin.
After flying over the atlantic ocean, I was approaching Fernando de Noronha Airport (SBFN) on a small island in the north. The sun was gone and soon darkness would be creeping in.
