Awesome but was there a runway in that Botswana district long enough for your jet to land?
Those clouds in screenshot 4…is it Live Weather?
Oi Adriano, I always fly with live weather and real time on a travelogue because I want to keep it as realistic as possible.
I think in these particular screenshots, after landing on the island, I actually set back real time by 30-45 minutes, as it was already too dark to make screenshots of the airport (I had spent too much time cruising around the lighthouse before 
).
But despite the small time adjustment it is still live weather 
Was there anything specific you had in mind when asking this?
Yes I was close to it, during the landing I took it off autopilot and took over the landing operations myself so I could kind of speed up the landing. But that didn’t go the way I wanted so I ended up landing short of the runway.
Because those clouds look amazing!

Northern Crescent 2025 - Leg 1 (Masalli/UB7NZ - Masjidmahalla/UBF0M)
I decided to embark on a little multi-leg adventure across Azerbaijan and Northern Iran, following the crescent shape of the Caspian Sea coastal plain from west to east. As I started to really enjoy the Chinook, I picked it for this trip.
To be honest, I didn’t actually landed at the heliport at Masjidmahalla… because I screwed up and picked the wrong clearing as I had LNM zoomed out too much during my approach. But I must admit that the people living in this house in Qapicimahalla have created a very sturdy home for themselves - it survives even a Chinook landing!

Arriving late at the Fernando de Noronha Airport (SBFN) the night before I didn’t have the chance to take pictures of the beautiful surroundings that much. So when I woke up the next morning and the island presented itself in the most beautiful bright sunshine I decided to do justice to that beautful island and take some more pictures.
At the airport, checking my Kodiak, then chilling and strolling around:

Saying goodbye to this wonderful and peaceful place on earth, heading towards the biggest and most dangerous cidade of north-eastern Brazil.
Little did I know at this point that I would face maximum danger very soon…
I was at peace with myself and the world when the open waters were about to be the only thing within the next 200 NMs. I was alone, day dreaming, not carrying too much. Well, maybe I was taking it a bit too easy…
When I finally hit the coast line of Natal, it was a brutal wake up call. Over the water I wasn’t paying any attention on the radar and weather, everything looked beautiful, until it hit me like a wall. Literaly from one moment to the next the world turned upside down and I was caught in the most dramatic weather change I had ever experienced in my life.
The north-east of Brazil is of tropical climate, very hot and very humid. Also all coasts can always bare some suprises. Well, somehow It all came together and I was in a state of shock when from one second to the next my plane would leave blue skies and dive into a hot and wet foggy, rainy mess with serious gusts hitting me like a truck from the sides.
Arriving at the coast line of Natal when things were about to turn:
Within seconds I couln’t see s**t. Luckily there were some rays of light somewhere coming through the clouds, so I could see the Ponte Newton Navarro on my right which spans over Rio Potengi:
In some kind of suicidal tendency I decided to go in circles over the ocean, waiting for the weather to clear above the mainlands. Well, it did change from one minute to the next again…
In some moments i could even the the Fortaleza dos Reis Magos at the edge of the coast, right before the bridge.
At some point I’ve had enough and I knew I should try to effing land now instead of goofing around in potentially deadly weather conditions.
So I was trying to find a way to navigate through all the mess, trying to find a more or less safe approach on a selected small airfield runway. The weatrher around my plane was changing constantly, from each second to the next the world around me looked different:

Got my rig back online after a couple weeks, just got everything up to date and did a little joyride around Portland in 2024 for funsies.
Can I drop anybody at the convention center on the way to the airport?

Detroit metro (KDTW) to Buffalo (KBUF) in the default Saab 340B
Decided to test out the Horizon 787 now that it’s compatible with 2024 (note: you need to have the 2020 787 in your library for the Horizon to work, NOT the 2024 iteration). I don’t have a lot of experience with the Boeing aircraft, so I was kind of going off-the cuff, using a quick and dirty flight plan from SMF to PDX and figuring things out as I went along. Overall I had a great time, even if I overshot the runway by a couple feet in Portland. I’m sure those houseboats won’t mind.
My lack of skills notwithstanding, she performed very nicely. I’m definitely looking forward to learning how to actually fly her and getting in a couple of long-haul flights.
