Short bush flight today, Toronto to Ottawa in the Super Hornet
When did those runways become so short?
I think they need to double the size, either that or I need to practice my flying with the Super Hornet more.

On my world tour, I’m currently in Lhasa, so I decided to do some exploring in a chopper. I hopped into the EC-135 and it was…underwhelming. I’m not too experienced in rotorcraft yet, and the chopper looked and sounded good, but the responses seemed sluggish and movement a bit unnatural. Can’t quite put my finger on it. For context, I normally fly around in the Hughes 500 by Taog’s Hangar, so perhaps I’m a bit spoiled there. ZULS airport, Lhasa city center, and Potala Palace courtesy of SamScene3D’s excellent scenery.
Nevertheless, I made it from the airport to Lhasa proper and found the Potola Palace. Having studied the Dalai Lama’s story with some depth, I was interested in checking out this place steeped in history and spirituality. Lhasa itself continued to surprise me as well, with as developed and populated as it seemed, despite its isolation.
To cleanse the palate after flying the EC-135, I returned to Alaska for the next leg of my bush flight, taking the Wilga from Tsetzi Lake Airport (CBT3), up to the shores of Nechako Reservoir next to the town of Streatham. We had a beautiful morning and the Wilga handled the extremely STOL conditions upon landing with ease, even with a bit of hilly terrain.
I hope these folks don’t mind me camping out for a day or two…

What plane is that? The design is wild. I don’t know if I’ve seen two props in line like that before.
