I am truly sorry for that misunderstanding.

I am truly sorry for that misunderstanding.
Iām personally not expecting any further meaningful updates until the end of January now. We might get a minor patch/hotfix but historically, the first SU/WU of the year was not launched until the last week of Jan.
Dang. Another month plus
Then why have they not opened up Maketplace? That should be a huge cash grab this time of year. Maybe its not only about the money, and the developers have some say?
In my opinion, the priority should be to separate the time change from the live weather. Currently, it is not possible to change the time without losing the live weather. In addition, the sim rate does not speed up the time in the simulator, which is also a big problem and the possibility of downloading things to the disk and unencrypting the plane
Donāt worry, sorry I didnāt see it. Iām used to apple looking emojis and that combined with the fact that Iām fuming about the sim being brokenā:rofl:![]()
I have to disagree to your disagreement. But since our opinions on social welfare rules and overall employee well-being are not the core topic if this forum, and since we donāt decide over Asobo internal HR policy, itās best to park those views.
But I would agree it is urgent to fix most critical bugs raised by the community (and rest following of course), and also ensure expectations are well set. I like the idea of having Asobo and 1st partners following a 2-weeks (or 3/4 weeks) sprint for the next 2 quarters, so we know the cadence and donāt bother discussing "when is the next patch coming ?![]()
Well, if I understood correctly, the marketplace is still closed because there are problems with the implementation of third-party software.
I donāt think the devs have any say now, but maybe they will finally listen to them.
I too disagree. Iāve worked in IT for 30 years and if some critical system goes wrong you work all night until itās fixed. Even if this means skipping sleep. It comes with the territory.
Then why have they not opened up Maketplace?
The software was released for the Christmas season. It was a disaster.
They found that, despite what they thought might be the case, the state of packages in the Marketplace was a complete disaster as well, Iām going to imagine not as closely following the SDK as originally estimated. And they realized after some QA testing, that opening the Marketplace and allowing the use of 2020 packages in 2024 would cause CTDās galore. So they are waiting until such time theyāve addressed the bugs that theyāve found, and the loss in cash flow is better than experiencing the launch all over again..
And, yes, most of what was in the latest updated were fixes that werenāt released in time for the launch. They are fixing bugs as fast as they can. How the airport bug got into the release of the latest patch I donāt know. It was known and fixed before it was released. Itās possible they found another bug associated with it, so maybe it was held out until that was fixed?
Our only path to information from Microsoft/Asobo core development is the SDK team, so we donāt have a direct communication to the core developers except through the Dev Q&A sessions with Jorg and Seb and Martial. The communication we get related to core sim from devsupport is secondhand information and often incomplete. Through no fault of their own.
You might need to review French labour laws.
Employees have extensive rights to quality of life, regardless of the quality of product they put out.
Especially around working hours and vacationā¦
Pretty disgusted that it appears theyāre leaving the game/sim in this state for the Christmas period. Way too many serious issues (that should be readily fixable) yet to addressā¦ā¦..for example the mouse issue on Xbox. Poor show really overall.
Hereās to 2025!
They only ācareā for us when they need our money.

This is common practice around Europe, South America, much of Africa, some of Asia, and all of North America to get time off for Christmas and New Year.
At least for non essential jobs, or folks who donāt work in the service industry.
I am really surprised by how many folks who get Christmas and New Year off themselves, are shocked to learn others do too.
Schools also tend to get some time off around this part of the year.
And it is common for folks to take extra vacation time off around the holidays to visit friends and family.
It is the busiest travel time of the year in many of these regions.
Microsoft employees also tend to get time off for the holidays, it isnāt just an Asobo thing.
Many famous songs have been written about the holidays that happen during this time of year.
I am stunned so many people are just learning about holidays and time off from these forums when they discovered Asobo employees might be getting some time off over the next weeks.

Sim seems smoother today in the a330 just feels better and zooming into airports to start sim is silky smooth. Im maxed out at 60fps mostly high ultra framegen on. I think they doing stuff in background
Not really, I understand in my Job christmas day is a normal working day doing shift work.
However My Partner is a Director in a company and finishes work on Christmas Eve..its a normal working week, not a holiday if it falls on a weekday.
Granted he lets staff off early..but in U.K its a normal working day.
Thats why he earns the money.
Like the rest of Europe
What. You are saying Christmas Day is a normal working day? Itās either not clear what you are saying or your facts are way off. Just to clear things up Christmas Day is a UK bank holiday as is Boxing Day just like every other year.
There is no ETA, and we wonāt get a different ETA than early 2025.
In the mean time MSFS2020 is on sale: $30. If you donāt have it yet, maybe now is the time.
What I mean, it is a normal working day for me in my ndusry (medical profession) I have no choice.
However if you work in offices corporate industry Chistmas eve iis a normal working day, if it falls on a weekday, Christmas day is the beginning of the holiday.
They already told us, the next patch will be Sim Update 1 some time in Q1 2025, which is January-March. A delay would not be out of the ordinary so I would say February-April.
As bad as the condition of MSFS 2024 is, the developers are still people and they deserve the holiday break as much as anyone else. I hope weāll get a closer date for SU1 during the next developer stream in January or February.
