I flew the mfs a320 2 days ago, post patch and it was great. I felt sorry for those who were experiencing a negative outcome. I did another flight with it yesterday and it was the opposite. The aircraft’s AP would not work. Every time I engaged it, the plane would start to aggressively barrel right. Up until now, I had had a fair amount of success with it.
I can definitely feel the burn with the one good effort at a realistic tubeliner growing…all done by a group of dedicated simmers, for free, and then pooped on by crummy updates from the paid team.
I mean, I’ve spent the best part of TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS upgrading or buying all sorts of gear for this beta mess, including laying out over the odds for a new “partnership” yoke (who’s switches don’t work in the sim without breaking something else because a simple fix is totally ignored) to a new CPU and a Radeon 6800 XT GPU.
Microsoft has billions to play with, and yet again, they can’t organise a decent bash in a brewery.

Exactly my point and 100percent agree.
My two go to aircraft for Vatsim before the recent patch, were the A32NX (FBW) and the TBM with the G3000 Working Title Mod as they were both very reliable for IFR Vatsim flying.
Now both are broken in the above configuration or so unreliable that they have become useless for Vatsim.
As you said C&D start and following the SID, STARS and Transition, ILS reliably is rightfully required by Vatsim etc.
Evidently not working is one of the most used departures routes within Europe - EDDF RWY18.

For me exact the same problem, it is incomprehensible how many blunders microsoft gets on its neck. All past commercial endeavors have been totally reset , Xplane is now truly the smiling third!
MSFS probably looked too much at the Boeing 737 Max? (even seems like PMDG needs the same time as boeing to make this SIM credible)

Well, the a320 was the only thing I could fly in this game, since every other airliner was an unflayable mess, now the a320 has been broken as well by Asobo, great job…
They should just stop patching the planes and leave the job to modders, which are apparently way more competent at programming this game.
Because of this A320 mess, I went back to XP11 until this is resolved. Forgot how awesome it is to fly an airliner without having to worry about ridiculous issues and just enjoy a flight.

Me too.The FS2020’s only legal aircraft is Flybywire’s A32NX. But ASOBO is breaking the aircraft with its untested updates.

Lol, immediate is not in their vocabular. Every patch so far has messed up something in the 320. Never have they released a hotfix. We probably have to wait for the next update, which hopefully will fix the issue. But of course, something else in the 320 will break. This is a never ending vicious circle with Asobo.

Yup right now I’m gliding over Italy in the FF a320. Did a nice 737-800 before than.
X-vision, Active Sky XP, Pilot 2 ATC, PacX, SFD Global, and orbx. Looks amazing. Yes you got to spend those £$€ but the result is just so satisfying. Of course MSFS is always going to look better no compromise there. But Xplane has its own look that can look amazing too, and your planes work be they default, mods, or payware. Wake up ASOBO!

Well someone from the FBW team commented on avsim that this issue is in the compiled code. The sim is basically unusable and the community has no way to mod a fix. This is worst than most issues in that it’s essentially game breaking.

Lol the a320 will probably loose the landing gear or something in the next update, there is nothing left to break in the AP

I have tried to be patient and positive, but it turns out that Asobo and MS have created a scenery simulator, not a flight simulator. how can you go from a working product like FSX to this mess? and now: no Helicopters? so all this scenery is bogus, who needs the mount rushmore? just make a hotfix now…

I have no idea whether to laugh or cry here but …
… I just downloaded the current update, loaded missing content via profile / content manager, packed my mods back into the community folder and started a flight with the FlyByWire A320 (latest DEV version) and so far I am overjoyed that everything works
without wanting to step too close now, but 90% of the time the problem is behind the keyboard and not in the PC

Yes default a320 definitely not working properly since update
Autopilot is much worse
I’m surprised there hasn’t been a hot fix announcement for this yet.

Just wait. The autopilot problems are intermittent. I’ve had about a 50% success rate–which is about 50% less than it needs to be. For A320 folks, this is the worst update that Asobo has released yet. There are no workarounds (other than starting on the runway, which isn’t really acceptable for most of us who value realism) and short of writing a new autopilot from scratch, fixing this isn’t an option. I cannot wait until some third party releases an airliner that is totally free of using any Asobo code. Only then will we have a functioning simulator.

Do a Cold and Dark start, Taxi out and take off … see then where the problem sits.

I start every flight over Cold and Dark and had no problems during the flight, neither the AP nor anything else brought any problems, everything from LXGB to LPMA
