I’ve been looking for a toggle to switch to A.I. Pilot in msfs-2024 - can’t seem to find one. Probably me being very slow and dimwitted. I’m sure they didn’t cut that functionality for msfs-2024. Can anyone educate me (I’ve looked through the control layout, but can’t seem to find it). On XBSX with a controller.
It was removed. Someone has a mod for PC users that puts it back but obviously thats no help for XBox users.
Of course it was. One of the things I enjoyed most about 2020 was just passing all the workload over to A.I. Pilot and sitting back to enjoy the flight. So, naturally, they took it out for 2024. We can’t have nice things. 
This is a big disappointment.

I can’t find options for AI to fly plane in 2024. Can someone help me or is this not an option in the game?

I am so unhappy with the developers deciding to remove things we loved in 2020 for 2024.

Is there still no sign of an A.I. Co-Pilot? I remember asking about this back when MSFS 2024 launched. I always played MSFS 2020 with the A.I. Co-Pilot: I’d just give it a flight plan, and off it went. I went along for the ride since I’ve never been interested in piloting—I came to MSFS for the fantastic views and the joy of having an entire virtual world to visit.
Why did Asobo remove this feature? Why have they never responded to a call to reinstate it? People who blithely say, ‘Just use Autopilot,’ are missing the point. We never had to worry about things like that—we just told the A.I. Pilot to assume control of our flight—and done!
I have MSFS 2024 on my XBSX. Every so often (although less and less frequently as the weeks roll past), I check in to see if my favourite feature has been reinstated. Alas, there is still no sign of it. Oh well, maybe next month.
I haven’t yet received the product I thought I was paying for. How about it, Asobo?

There’s an option for AI copilot on PC. I recall seeing it the other day while digging through settings. I think they only handle ATC comms but it was greyd out as inactive. I can check later today or hopefully some ne can check sooner
Yes, you are correct, the AI Copilot in FS 2024 only handles coms, and that copilot needs a fair amount of additional training before being allowed in an aircraft, so it’s probably better left off,

Did Asobo ever explain why they omitted including AI Copilot in MSFS 2024? I don’t recall ever seeing them comment on it. I’m going to be honest: the absence of the feature effectively rendered MSFS 2024 useless to me (on top of its abysmal performance on XBSX).
As I mentioned above, I’m strictly an MSFS ‘tourist’ - a sightseeing passenger. Before you come back at me, remember that MSFS 2020 catered for this with the inclusion of an AI co-pilot. For people like me, that meant we could press a minimum of buttons, and the flights would take care of themselves.
I wasted my money on MSFS 2024 (thankfully, only the Standard Edition). But I would have been a willing buyer of DLCs had the sim retained that magical AI assist (I was a fairly regular purchaser of addons for MSFS 2020—almost all of which are still unusable in MSFS 2024, by the way).
So, since its release, XBSX has performed inadequately, coupled with the baffling absence of the one feature that made the whole thing accessible and purposeful for me as someone who enjoys the sights but not the technicalities of flying. Will SU 2 address any of this?
I agree with you, but there are workarounds. When I’m taking off and landing, I can adjust to 1/2 sim speed. That evens the playing field for my 73 year old reflexes that never were much to begin with. I guarantee that reduces the difficulty level . In between, I have an autopilot. I can turn off the ATC, and the autopilot will follow my flight plan from the time I finish the takeoff until final approach.
I read that many people have adjusted to using the autopilot as a resolve, however I think that technically it is sincerely possible to implement the AI Pilot (as used in msfs 2020) in the game. It is a neuscance for me and other people playing on xbox to change the way we enjoy the game we always have. I really hope that Microsoft listens to this particular target group and implements this function for MSFS 2024 in the same mather the AI Pilot had it’s own menu in the previous series of the game.

The AI piloting was buggy at best…useless really.
If you search around like I did, there seems to be speculation that it will come to 2024. I’ll assume in a better state than before, but thats still all a guess right now.
Microsoft needs to include AI Pilot in this game because they’re excluding a whole user group from the game, namely people who want to enjoy the same their own way and folks with disabbilities, by not implementing AI Pilot. Yeah I know it was really buggy in 2020 but we’re a long way since 2024 was released an no AI Pilot has been implemented yet in the format we see in 2020.
