Which Aircraft are at the top of your wishlist for third-party devs to make?

With 56 wheels and allegedly twice the size of the AN 225 wow :exploding_head:
If they did this for Career mode and flew it, it would take a whole day just to repair that 1 plane :joy:

It’s hard to know if it was just an elaborate ploy to make crude oil pipelines seem more appropriate (despite the difficulties) or if they really intended to go ahead with this behemoth of a plane and the bespoke airports needed to take it.

Count me as skeptical - the dangers of the idea seem too great. I could just imagine the catastrophe if one crashed. :scream:

Here is the crazy machine:

Seems that ores, oil and LNG were planned for transport - the idea being that the planes would only fly the shortest distance needed to drop off the cargo to some other form of transport rather than taking it all the way to the final destination. It was only for getting the cargo away from an inaccessible location.

Transporting LNG in this manner is quite dangerous too.

I am sure that structurally this would not hold up. The thing would weigh so much that the runways would need reinforcement. Just someone’s pipe dream.

Not just that… The geometry of the gear system would keep it from operating at just about every airport other than Rogers Dry Lake.

I know right, craziest engineering project ever

The Garret modelling is prolly the best we’ve had in MSFS. All the quirks seem to work and Project MAX is constantly working to continue adding missing features and fix bugs.

It might be an early release but is pretty much complete for normal flying and a bit beyond. Some ECU tests still don’t work as they should and the avionics are a bit buggy BUT I understand they have to pay their bills too, especially coming from a country that is politicaly volatile and economically struggling rn (Indonesia)

Oh I like it but it needs to come to the MP. I want them to make it career mode enabled too because I think it tucks right in to the cargo missions.
It’s great they are enthusiastic and showing they care - it will bring more folk round to buying in the end.

The final push I need to switch from 2020 to 2024.

We need a good dc9 local legend for February, were getting near the DC9’s 60th anniversary;(February 25th 1965)

One of the main aircraft I would love to see in high detail or maybe even a FF/LL is the B-29. Something that would include the original/A variant representing the early years, that would also include the Silverplate version (the variants modified for atomic weapons), the KB-29 (refueling variant), RB-29J (photo reconnaissance), and WB-29 (weather recon/monitoring).

Some others would be the B-45/RB-45, B-47/EB-47/RB-47H, B-58, Canberra and its various photo recon variants, B-57, B-57G, WB-57F, RB-57D/F, and many of military jet aircraft from those eras.

Progress has been made (still no announced date, though)! Check out Anthony31 on fsdeveloper.

Thank you. I found him. It seems the dev is still at it.

Conwing L-16

A realistic version this would be awesome.

the Bell 412, and the S2T

A high-fidelity BAC 1-11.

My preference would be for Just Flight to do this but given their previous comments (around a couple of years or so ago?) that they already do versions of similar AC I think this is unlikely. Totally understand their decision though.

Yak-40 and An-24

I ended up getting XP12 just for those but imo it’s a very clunky and ugly piece of software, and the Felis models themselves are 15 years old.

A high-fidelity study-level JS31/41 or HS748/ATP, Jusf Flight not planning the latter even though they did a a lovely HS748 for FSX/P3D, Virtualcol’s upcoming not-study level just won’t cut the “mustard”

Same goes for the VFW-Fokker 614, a plane that no dev ever has tackled for MSFS, not even a freeware take, only XP only devs have done-Peters the only high-fidelity payware that exists for that sim that isn’t MSFS Is the only VFW-Fokker 614 out there, only 19 were built IRL.

A ol-smokey DC-8, a plane I loved in FSX from various developers, any Convair CV series or Convair 880 or 990 and a Lockheed L-188 would be awesome to see for MSFS 2024.

Heck, there was a serious project to design aircraft carriers built from ice once upon a time… A little research will come up with a ton of impossible Boeing (and many other company’s) projects.
