White dot constant for Xbox controller on a pc

Wow you’re gonna have to tell me more about this.
Can we sort of hide it on PC? :white_circle:

White dot causing even more issues:

I did disable it but that didnt work.
Did you do something else and you managed to hide it?

It’s impossible to hide it.

Left click so that the menu tiles and white circle appear
Press d-pad in any direction, circle should disappear
Left click again to hide the menu

The dot is then hidden until next time you pause or left click

I did not know that they are able to make it even worse with an update. Brilliant.

While this works, it’s a pain to do during busy times in the cockpit. Whenever you use the mouse to interact with something in the cockpit, you need to repeat the finger gymnastics to get rid of the pesky thing. At least in SU10 all that was required was to hit up on the D-pad.

Sometimes it seems Asobo’s slogan is “why do things the simple way when you can do it the complicated way”.

Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?

Yes

Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:

Completely unnecessary immersion killing issue since SU5!

If relevant, provide additional screenshots/video:

I was referring to someone else workaround while playing on PC. I remember that there’s a new setting related to directional pad menu navigation. If changing to the old behavior, the white dot is hidden just as before. Don’t know how it is after the public release.

Xbod Series X here, so unfortunately I can’t test this.

The new setting makes no difference at all. And is irrelevant. It is for a different purpose altogether.

We need an option to remove the dot. Simple as.

Please, if you want to discuss the useless and non working workaround take it to another thread.

No need to be so rude with me. I was politely trying to help him.

Also, the press left stick, then any direcional pad button and again left stick workaround method at least STILL DO WORK to temporarily get rid of this infuriating white dot. It’s better than nothing, without any doubt.

Anyway, it’s time to take a break of these forums and Flight Simulator itself. Asobo giving a f* for us since the beginning of Sim Update 11 Beta and, SADLY, animosity between users is going downhill lately.

Cheers from Rio de Janeiro.

This is a massive issue that needs a hotfix ASAP.

sadly, still no fix for this immersion breaking annoyance.

I use PC and the legacy mouse control. Meaning I cannot use the Xbox controller to do anything in the cockpit. But everytime i move the right stick to look around, I get the white dot.

So what exactly is the reason for having the white dot at all. It serves no purpose.

It’s impossible to kill the white cursor since the update of SU11.This really annoys players who use Xbox Controller

If you left stick click, push the dpad in any direction and then left stick click again it goes away, like before

It immediately returns when moving your view again. Hiding is not the issue. It’s needing to hide it again and again and again every single time you move your POV in the cockpit that is the issue. It’s maddening.

How many times do we have to say this:

Making it go away temporarily is not the problem. And not a problem that needs solving.

Making it not appear in the first place is the issue and this is what we are voting for.

I wish there was actually someone from Asobo on these forums that could interact with us about these types of day to day issues. It really does feel like we’re just talking to a wall here.

What does “feedback logged” even mean in realistic terms? Why isn’t this on the “know issues” page? Is there an ETA for a fix? This should take a coder 30 minutes to fix…
