White dot constant for Xbox controller on a pc

The issue only started for me in SU11 (pressing the L stick used to remove it) so I can’t imagine it’s a massive thing to fix!?

What amazes me is none of these devs have ever even flown a departure with the 737 on a gamepad by hand. If they had you would see a big WHITE DOT in your face and BOXES around your HUD. This is a MAJOR issue for a pilot as it just distracts him/her from the instruments themselves. I can’t count how many times I have blown a turn cursing at the UI in my way trying to see stuff or it distracts me for a few seconds and THATS ALL YOU NEED in an Airliner. Things move very fast in these planes.

Asobo isn’t listening, I have voted in a plethora of threads on the issue over the years some with insane amounts of votes and HERE WE ARE. Just imagine if you put these dot and white boxes on everyones screen and forced it. Sim would just die…

Plus after two years I have about 2 billion clicks removing this stuff and it actually WORE the gamepad right out. For those asking if it’s possible for them to add a toggle of course it is. We have been on this issue for TWO YEARS.

Like just imagine Fabios rage if we plastered this spam all over his screen. Id love to see it. Or imagine Howard doing flying lessons with a White DOT and BOXES around the panels. It’s such poor design it’s hard to believe I am even writing this.

Kudos to all the people trying to get this issue sorted over the years… As of now I am done flying until it’s fixed. Su11 is in such bad shape I can stomach this anymore especially like this.

It’s not about removing it. It’s about having the option for it not to appear in the first place.

Thank you.

One thing this dot did foer me is look for alternatives to look around and I set up my webcam to use headtracking and it works reasonably well after fiddling with the settings for two days.

Nevertheless I want the white dot gone.

Surely it’s both? People might want it on in certain situations, and be able to toggle it on and off during a flight. Or, like you want, have the option for it off completely.

I hold down the left bumper to move around the cockpit. Holding down the left bumper when looking around also stops the dot appearing for me. Not a fix, and requires you to hold the left bump most of the time, but gives some relief from the dot.

It appears again as soon as you let go. Also, if you reset camera view. Also, if you use any of your default camera views. Also, if you move mouse and come back to camera.

We just need an option to turn the dot off, that’s all.

Yes definitely, it was just a work around that I was using.

But it’s not a workaround if it doesn’t work.

I also have a similar workaround, which involves not starting msfs.

Really we just need to concentrate on the fact that the vote is for an option to turn it off.

For me, the only way to remove it is to go into the menu and then back to the game.

:joy:
Yes, we NEED a toggle, this is that simple. (same for the blue highlight on instruments by the way, give us a toggle pretty please)

Is this ever going to be removed, or at least an option to be turned off? I use Keyboard/Mouse and controller - so I have no need for the white dot. But why hasn’t it already been removed? It’s been a long time and would think it’s not that difficult to fix?!

Sad that a AAA Developer backed by Microsoft isn’t able to fix a issue which persists since July 2021 but a “mere” Hobbyist is. Thank you very much for the link @Nekrob0b

It`s not my work, i just share the Link.

MODERATOR EDIT: [Removed ALL CAPS]

Now the white dot is permanent after SU12. Anyone got a work around ?

We all wait for the mod that hopefully will be updated
